Equinox. Earliest disembark time. Urgent request.

I’m on Equinox and on the return flight after the cruise I booked an early flight. 830 AM to be exact.

Last time on Celebrity I watched the early folks “carry on only” folks leave just after 6 AM. Looked like, with Uber, I could have made the early flight.

Now I have concerns about the timing.

 

How does the early disembark work and can I get off around 630 AM?

 

Any experiences to share?

I was on the Equinox in November and walk offs didn't start until 7:30, good luck making an 8:30 flight.

Equinox is in Miami until May of 2019.

OP, you need to change your reservation.

 

It is way to early.

 

Most of us recommend a flight that leaves 11:00 AM to Noon.

 

Unless you have TSA Pre Check I would allow at least 90 minutes for check in time at the airport and getting through security.

 

Even with TSA Pre Check you never know.

 

I would also allow 20 to 30 minutes to get there.

Coming into Miami.

So many factors, mostly not in your favor

 

What day of the week? Traffic in Miami at morning rush hour can mean a half hour drive to the airport

 

Do you have TSA precheck? Any status with the airline? Are you flying first class? Will you be checking luggage? Are you flying international or domestic?

 

Other things to consider: if you don't make it, what is your plan B? How much will it cost to change your flight now? What will it cost to change it the day of the flight?

 

I would say you have about a 5% chance of making your flight.

On our recent cruise, the walk-offs were allowed to leave beginning at 7:50 a.m. Typically, it is around 7:30 am. I suggest having a Plan B as you will probably not make it. Why stress over making such an early flight???

I really think that Plan A has to be revised. That means a change to the flight. I do not see anyway getting around it.

Original poster... I too am glad that you rescheduled your flight; as a local, your original plan was far too close for comfort...

 

Just to make sure that there is no misunderstanding relative to Keith's comment above, know that the time at which you "have to leave the ship" is--unfortunately--not at your discretion...

• You will asked to vacate your stateroom by 8:00 AM on disembarkation morning...
  
• Due to TSA regulations, last call for disembarking the ship will be at approximately 9:30 AM...

We did the walk off option last July off of the Equinox and we made an 8:41 flight. There’s a 45 minute check in required when flying out of Miami and we got there “with 42 seconds to spare” according to the gate agent. It was too close for comfort but we did it.
