NewLifer Posted April 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2018 As I have never been on a boat.. But I am a otr trucker... Mostly team... How different is it going to be for sleeping and such on something that's moving kinda like the truck?? CruiserBruce Posted April 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2018 A ship will probably be smoother most of the time. Not the rattles and sharper motions of a truck. Yes, things can get rough at times on a ship, but overall, I think you will find it overall much more like sleeping at home.
anandaindonesia Posted April 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2018 Sleeping on a ship is like a baby in a craddle. Best, relaxing sleep. Sent from my SM-J730G using Tapatalk
Z'Loth Posted April 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2018 Except that you can order a pizza from the television and have it delivered to your room. At 3 AM.
Rare John Bull Posted April 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2018 No tight bends or sharp turns on a ship, no steep grades, no heavy braking, seamless gear-changing, No peeing in a pot. No wake-up call to change a flat tyre or to fit chains. No being told its your turn to drive No ban on alcohol. No getting pulled over by a seaway patrol officer on a Harley,. Potholes have got soft sides. Chocolates & towel animals on your pillow. But on the ship you'll get no wages at the end of the day, instead you get billed for far more than you earned yesterday. lauren009 Posted April 5, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 5, 2018 I found that when I did feel movement, the motion was more like a train/subway
cb at sea Posted April 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2018 No chocolates anymore, on most lines...but still.....it's nicer than in the sleeping part of a truck!
Bizmark'sMom Posted April 5, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 5, 2018 It's more like being in a hammock than being in a truck. Most of the time, the motion you feel is a lovely rocking sensation.
