Hi I will be going on Regal Princess in November...One of the ports of call is Aruba....Princess is offering an excursion to DePalma Island for the day...cost is $99.95 for six hour stay, that is all inclusive including a buffet lunch, and all alocholic beverages....

Was wondering if anyone has done this excursion before, and how you enjoyed it.... Hope to hear from someone soon..

While I have not done a ship excursion to DePalma Island, I did go there when we did a land vacation to Aruba. We enjoyed our-selfs and there are many things to do to occupy your time.

As you already know there is a buffet and all you can drink bar. There is a kiddie area with water slides, small beaches and a snorkeling area. If you have an underwater camera, do bring it, I really enjoyed swimming among the "Blue Parrot" fish.

We have been 3 times and have really enjoyed it. We are older and and don’t use the kid zone. The food and drinks are good. We get chairs in the shade and cool off in the water. Lots of fish to see even if you don’t go snorkeling. There is a lifeguard who makes sure people don’t go too far out. It’s a very pleasant day. Lots to offer for younger, more energetic people too.

Here is another vote for DePalm Island. We book the ships excursion and think it is a great value and an excellent day. We are booked on the Caribbean Princess in January 2019 and have already booked our excursion for the day to DePalm Island again. You would not be disappointed!

we stayed in Aruba and went mainly to snorkel with the parrot fish. We are avid snorkelers and it was worth the $100 we paid for that, food and drinks were just a bonus. The kids area looked fun. Plus, although i don't recall any beach into the ocean (it is a seawall), there are "beach" areas with sand and chairs.

Did that excursion on a Princess cruise. That day it was extremely windy

and made for an unpleasant day. Didn't like the buffet. However there was another area where they had hot dogs and the open bar area. Drinks were good. The little boat back was packed with too many people that I would have thought safe. We love Aruba and prefer just going to one of beaches with the beautiful white sand.

I chose this for the actual day of my 50th birthday on the Emerald Princess. I couldn't have picked a better way to spend my day! I absolutely loved loved loved it.

The buffet had salads and a wonderful BBQ fish; the bar served up margaritas and some other icy drink. We found a great palapa right in the little beach area and went from there. I got a massage under the palm trees, we took part in the little salsa dance lessons, swam a bit in the beautiful calm waters ... you can see fish without even putting on a snorkel. Everything was just great! There was the area for the kiddos, which we steered clear of ... but they looked to be having great fun! They have helmet diving there is you choose to pay the extra for that. Our neighbors on the ship did it and said it was a blast. We had excellent weather the day we went.

So, we loved the day there and went back to the ship to get cleaned up before heading back out to the casino near the port. After making our deposit in Aruba at the casino, we went to a nice dinner back onboard. We sat next to a couple of young ladies that struck up a conversation. They said, wasn't Aruba a bust?? We both looked at them with a puzzled look. From what I understand, they went to Palm Beach (I think it was in the opposite direction of DePalm Island) and it poured the whole time they were there. It even poured in town while we were in the casino but not one drop of rain fell on us the entire perfect day.
