swsandra1128 Posted April 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Will on board Viking Sea end of early May 2018. I have some blood pressure concern and its good (though not a must) to monitor my figure. Wonder if it is common to have the apparatus available on cruise ship for borrow and not need to bring my own ? Samson
Rare sparks1093 Posted April 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2018 I'm sure they could do this in the medical center, but I'm not sure that they would do it for free. I would personally bring my own so I wouldn't have to rely on that.

spookwife Posted April 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2018 bring your own. the hours the medical center is open is limited and they would most likely charge you to read it themselves
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2018 On many HAL ships, there is one in the gym -- like the ones you see near the counter in a drug store -- you sit down and slip your arm into the sleeve. No always accurate.

The nurse wanted $25, in cash, said she had to open a chart. I gave her the Angry "Red" Bird look and told her I didn't have cash and to put it on our account. She quickly gave him a quick swipe told us the reading. Thanked her and we left. Couple of Tylenols, cool towel over the forehead, 2hr nap and he was fine the rest of the cruise. The nurse called in the evening and asked how he was.
