We will be on the Regal November 25, 2018, one of the stops will be St Thomas. My sister will be traveling with us who has difficulty walking far distances. Is it far from the ship to where to catch the taxi's? About how far?

Taxi's in St. Thomas are pick up truck chassis with bench seating in the back. The steps to get to the seating is steep. If you go downtown you have to walk around. There may be some traditional taxis around the port. Search St. Thomas taxi photos and you will see.

Short distance, about 200 yds. You should know where you are heading as there is an expediter who will send you to the next “taxi “/bus going in that direction. We are talking mainly flat beds holding 12-16 in back , although some vans for 8-10 as well. The whole crowd on board may be going to one spot or they may have 2 or 3 groups heading in the same direction.

It depends if you go into port at Crown Bay or Havensight - IN Crown Bay, the taxis are closer but at Havensight it is a bit more of a walk so check which port you are entering.

We were there in March and docked in Havensight.( on the Crown Princess )

Hey there. We will be on this sailing as well! :)

I have a feeling the walking might be a little rough for your sister, and one of the truck/van taxis might be better. Sometimes the driver will allow someone to sit in the front seat instead of in the back. Doesn't hurt to ask.
