Thank you for taking the time to let us share your cruise through your posts and your photos. Just curious how come there was no customs when disembarking?

I can answer that one. The cruise was entirely in the Schengen Zone, so no passports needed.

If you haven’t done it already I would recommend touring the Agora with a guide. It was interesting. But only if you like ancient history and ruins. It’s right next to Plaka.

We actually did a free walking tour with a great tour guide, you just tip what you feel it was worth at the end. She did give some great recommendations for dining places as well.

Adam. Can we bring the lemon cello on the boat and drink it or do we need to check it in. Many thanks.

We brought it onboard with no issues but it was also the last day of the cruise so maybe they didn’t care. If they are wrapped up in bubble wrap or a box by the store (they will almost always do that for you if you ask) then security may let it pass through thinking it’s a gift but there is no guarantee.

This review has been wonderful! Very well written and awesome photos. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your trip and thoughts. I will be on the Reflection for the first time in December. I've been on five Celebrity ships and looking forward to this Reflection 14 day cruise. I've added your itinerary to my bucket list.

I hope you have a great time in Tuscany! Question about the casino-I've not had much luck with

slots-do you play a particular machine?

Loved reading your blog over breakfast every morning. Photos were great and the commentary was excellent. Look forward to reading your 'formal' review. Thank you for sharing so much of your holiday.

I enjoyed your review and excellent photos. Thank you.

We are Celebrity regulars, but this cruise we were trying out the Silversea Silver Whisper, which followed the Reflection around for a while, so it was nice to see her in some of your photos. A very different experience.

Have read all your posts and enjoyed them immensely .As we are sailing on 28th May your posts have added to the anticipation of our up and coming cruise.

I wold have thought that as a guest in Luminae you would have been afforded better treatment that you got and service with a smile costs nothing apart from perhaps a negative comment on your cruise card .

Thank you so much for your posts, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them and it has made me even more excited about our up and coming cruise in July. Your photos have been absolutely stunning. Safe journey home.

How would you summarise the cruise overall?

There are quite a few posts on here saying Reflection isn’t a great experience, just interested in your insight, as it’s fresh and up to date.

I was on the same cruise and have been on Reflection twice. Both cruises were absolutely wonderful! No one can predict your own personal experience, but my DH and I loved being in a suite and all that offers. We have also been in Concierge and loved that too. No one knows how your experience will be, but you are either a cup 1/2 full person or half empty. If there is an issue, let Celebrity know immediately. Having said that, it does make a difference when and where you cruise. Summer in the Caribbean is not like Spring in Europe...lots of people enjoy complaining about things, but if you are lucky enough to take a cruise on Reflection, life is good, IMHO.

Just my two cents and my personal experience and opinion!!!

I have followed you all through your trip and enjoyed it very much. Well written and informative. Thank you for taking the time. And I agree that any day on a cruise is a good day! I see you went to Tuscany post cruise. We are thinking of doing the same after our Greek cruise next year. Just wondering if you have any tips/suggestions. If you reviewed this elsewhere could you let me know where. Thanks again for sharing your cruise with the rest of us.

I've been following along and am sad that there won't be any more beautiful photos to look at, but am happy because it's that much closer to the time that we sail this same cruise in July. Thanks for the review! Enjoy Tuscany!

We’ve had better experiences on other Celebrity shops but it was a good cruise overall. Some things were better than others. Just got home from Europe today so I need to collect my thoughts after unpacking and then will share a review of the cruise here.

That’s a great thing about opinions as I disagree with you! Just because people may present a review that offers legitimate criticism balanced with positive experiences does not make them a “half empty person”. Two people could sail on the exact same cruise but encounter completely different service situations, one good and one not so good, even though both people approached the cruise excited and full of optimism. That doesn’t invalidate either experience nor make someone “half full” or “half empty”. People just have different experiences and sometimes they aren’t positive.

Enjoyed your review. We did a similar cruise on Reflection in 2014. We are considering another Med cruise in the future and would love to hear some details of your trip to Tuscany. How easy was the trip from Civitavecchia?

Thanks! I will share some highlights and recommendations from our time in Tuscany shortly. Just back from our trip today so need to decompress and then can follow up.

Yes. Since a few of you have asked I will present some highlights and recommendations from our Tuscany time soon. I can say that it was absolutely fantastic though albeit a bit exhausting.

I was on the same cruise and told it was every night...that cruise was so much fun, I hated to disembark; however, we are still in Cinque Terre and it is beautiful weather...lugging our suitcases on the train from Civi wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it...

How did you manage your luggage on the train? Did you store it in the overhead bins or in the back of the train car?

Luggage is always a fun experience on a train. This time we packed a little lighter and had smaller suitcases. Also, it was difficult to store our luggage, as a “group” with a tour by Rick Steve’s had all the areas between the seats, so we had to improvise. I guess they thought the entire train was theirs. Too many groups nowadays make it more difficult for others, IMHO. There were no defined spaces except the overhead in first class. My DH likes to stand, so he put his suitcase in his seat and mine behind the last seat on the train. His backpack and my carry-in went above. Except for the air not working, we did just fine, but then we usually do lock ours together on the racks, but no racks this time! Also, I will never book the first first class car if there are two on the diagram. They canceled that car on one of our trips and our so called seats were gone too. Just something I learned, although, it is Italy LOL. We just make due!

I was not talking about constructive criticism; I have always appreciated that, so in no way was I referring to that. To me, that is great knowledge to have and I always appreciate that! Yes... it is fine to agree or disagree on here. So, I actually agree with you; you just disagree with my comments and thought they were aimed at you. You took my generalization and thought it was about your review; it was not. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it gave great information! Kudos!!!

Thanks. We will have 2 Carry-ons and one larger checked suitcase. We will bring a lock to secure it if our train has luggage racks. Going to Florence pre-cruise

I hope you understand that I was in no way disagreeing with you; if I were, I would have stated that...an above poster was asking about several negative comments regarding Reflection...you were giving a a great review, stating your opinions and being constructive with your information...at least that was my impression!!! In no way was I saying that you were half empty cruisers pursuing your cruise experience. In fact, one cruiser wanted your balanced opinion. I see you as a glass half full person who calls it as he sees it! Hopefully most of us expect hiccups along the way!

I was adding onto my own comments, so it looks funny on here the way I did this.

Good! We have also used a thick wire to “wire” ours together when there are luggage racks. Yes, we wire and lock all our suitcases too! You have it down as well as can be expected...it is an adventure for sure when training.

We learn from each experience and try to see if in some way we can improve on things. Sometimes it is our fault with planning, so we try to do a better job next time, but one cannot plan for everything in life. We just monitor and adjust! Have a great cruise and trip!
