They come around with some parrots and iguanas that you can take pictures with, for a fee of course. Patti got these long range pictures…..

After lunch, Jim and I hit the ocean. The water was a little chilly…..

We spent the afternoon between the ocean and the pool with a “few” drinks in between. Around 4:30 we decided to head back to the ship. We said goodbye to Gabe, and of course tipped him handsomely for a job well done! There was no waiting for a taxi as there was a long line of them there. Once back, Patti and I went right back to the ship for a shower, and for me anyway, a power nap. Once back at the cabin we found today’s towel animal…..

Around 5:30, Patti decided to head back out and do a little shopping and take some pictures. Here is the Paradise docked in Cozumel…..

The gangway…..

Once back on the ship, Patti collected me and we went up to the Paris Lido Restaurant for some dinner. Afterwards we stepped outside to watch a beautiful sunset, then our sail away from Cozumel. Of course we forgot the camera!

After we sailed away we made our way to the casino where we played for a while, breaking even. After a walk on the Promenade we made our way back to the cabin where we found tonight’s turndown service, and our invites to tomorrow’s VIFP Party……

Coming up next: Our final sea day, debarkation, and some final thoughts.

Love the review, I always smile when I see your name on a new one!

How would you rate the food at Mr. Sancho's? We've been to Paradise Beach and Nachi Cocom several times and sort of looking for a new adventure for next time. I'm happy if they don't run out of rum, but for DH it's all about the food. Would he be happy there?

Fun update!

I have the same question on the food at Mr. Sanchos...I have been to Nacho Cocum and found neither the food nor drinks impressive.

We have never gone to Paradise Beach, but we have been to Nachi Cocum, and we prefer everything about Mr. Sancho's over Nachi Cocum, especially the food and service. Of course YMMV.

This is a great review

The ship looks great, I have not been on Carnival since 2010 as we have been sailing Royals big girls. I want to go back to Carnival and my sights have been on Horizon but your review is making the Paradise looking pretty good. We said we would like to try out a little ship again. Coincidentally I have received multiple casino offers from Carnival in the last couple of weeks. Strange but heck I will take them up on their offer. Change is good!

Looking forward to more. You four look like you have a great time.

Thanks

You got ripped off! The ship on the stick is the best part! :D

I'm like you - entered many times - won once! I started to give the 2nd place person the ship on a stick (since we'd already won one on that ship) - than I realized it said BJ tournament winner. Brought it home & added it to our fleet! Couldn't do the big tournament either since we had other cruises booked.

Congrats on your win!!!

BTW - I recently found your review where you did the B2B and the Elation - loved it! Enjoying this one as well.

Thank You to You and Patti for sharing Your trip reviews!!! We appreciate all of the great photos and information! We aren't able to cruise often but we have used several of your ideas/suggestions for our past cruises. Do You know how many ships in the fleet that You have left to sail? Thanks Again!

It is so much fun reliving our cruise through the review! Thank you, Jeff and Patti for all the work and time you put into your reviews. We really enjoyed the Paradise with you guys. Our day at Mr. Sancho’s, and the day in Grand Cayman were awesome! Even with the bees chasing us to the other pool. We will definitely do Mr. Sancho’s again!

Just beginning your review, enjoying so far. Reminds me of how I binge view an entire season on Netflix...all at one time...lol.

I immediately recognized the Somerset Patriots sweatshirt, I worked 10 years in Piscataway and lived in Edison for two years while there. I never attended a Patriots game but I frequented the shopping center that was located outside of the stadium.

Looking forward to the rest of the report....Thanks!

Love me some Mr. Sanchos! Fantastic service/food/drinks! Great review and pics - I like the cut of your jib!!

Thanks for following! Mr.Sancho's is our go to place in Cozumel.

Thanks for reading and the kind words! There are seven Carnival ships that we have not sailed yet, though a couple of them are booked. They are the Imagination, Inspiration (booked), Spirit, Freedom, Valor (booked), Vista, and Horizon. Don't know if we'll ever sail them all, especially since we will never go to Galveston to board a ship.

Hey guys! We really enjoyed sailing with you two again, and can't wait to sail with you on the Pride to Bermuda. Glad that you enjoyed Mr. Sancho's. I forgot to ask you how you liked it. :D

Day # 5 - Another Fun Day at Sea.

We woke up at 8am to a beautiful sunny day, and the seas were pretty calm. Here are today’s Fun Times…..

At 9am we met up with Jim and Pat and went to the Sea Day Brunch again. Afterwards we split up to do some packing, shopping etc. I grabbed the camera to take some pictures up on deck, but first I got a picture of the empty Atrium Bar…..

IMG_9883-XL.jpg

Here is Patti in the Atrium…….

IMG_9888-XL.jpg

I took the glass elevator up to Deck 11 and took this shot looking down at the Atrium Bar…..

I climbed up the stairs to the new Grand Deck 14 cabins, but didn’t get any pictures of the cabins themselves. I should have asked Jim and Pat since they stayed in G21…..

Here are a few views of the mini golf up on Deck 14…..

This is a really interesting statement from such a frequent cruiser! Do you mind sharing why Galveston is a hard no??

(Not a Texan and have never sailed from Galveston - just curious.)

Patti’s got her Mango Magic, while the rest of us would be having glasses of Thirsty Frog Red…..

IMG_9922-XL.jpg

IMG_9923-XL.jpg

After finishing her drink, Patti went back to the cabin to begin packing. There she found our last towel creation along with our luggage tags…..

IMG_9933-XL.jpg

IMG_9932-XL.jpg

The four of us met in the casino to try our luck in today’s slot tournament. None of us even came close to qualifying for the leader board.

Afterwards, I decided to head back to the cabin to begin my packing, while Patti made her way to the Normandie Lounge for the final session of bingo. When she got there, Jaime and Josh were conducting a Q & A session……

IMG_9937-XL.jpg

IMG_9939-XL.jpg

The last bingo session was next and I’m sad to report that Patti had no winners this cruise. Sad face here.
