Thanks for another review Jamman, just wanted to comment that you and Patti both look fabulous! Have you all switched up your diet/exercise? Keep up the great work!

Thanks for coming along for the ride again, and for the kind words. I think that we have maintained since our last cruise, but I will continue to work out with those 12oz. & 16oz. weights! :D

Awesome pics! Thank you! We sail on June 28!

Thanks for reading! I think that you will enjoy the Paradise.

Fun updates!

Much more to come!

We are enjoying your review Jamman54. We are Sailing the Paradise Sep.10th, Our first Fantasy class ship. We are being crazy and sailing the Miracle Sep.16th the day after we get off Paradise. Our favorite ship is the Pride so I am sure we will enjoy Miracle.

Thanks for following along! You picked a great ship for your first Fantasy Class ship. She is in great shape! The Pride is also my favorite ship, and we also enjoyed our cruises on the Miracle.

Patti decided to join me at the Red Frog Rum Bar, and on the way she bumped into an old friend of ours, Winston! He is my favorite bartender of the fleet. The last time that I had seen him was on our Carnival Pride Repo cruise. We were happy to see each other!

Patti and I went back to the cabin to get ready for the muster drill. All of our luggage had been delivered, so Patti began to unpack. Right around 3:30pm the alarm sounded, and we reported to muster station “C”, which is the Leonardo Lounge on the Promenade Deck. We were in the lounge for the entire safety briefing, so no more standing outside, which was great. The safety briefing didn’t take long at all and our CD Jaime Dee, made it as fun as possible.

We decided that we would watch our sail away from the chairs outside of the Paris Lido Restaurant, all the way aft. This is a perfect viewing area. Right around 4:20pm, the Carnival Paradise set sail for Grand Cayman. Here are some shots as we sailed away…..

After sailing under the bridge, I made my way back to the cabin to find that Patti had completed all the unpacking, including mine. Thanks Babe! We decided to just go up to the Lido and eat at the Paris Restaurant. Most of what was on the MDR menu was available up here…..

Our plan was to play in the casino for a little while, and then call it a night. On the way Patti got this shot of “Kraken” playing at the United States Bar outside of the casino…..

Patti stopped to take some pictures of Special Occasions. For some reason they didn’t rebrand this as a Cherry on Top, though some of the items sold here were packaged as such……

Our first foray into the Majestic Casino didn’t work out so well, so we made our way back to the cabin where we found our first turndown service of the cruise. It was great to be back out at sea again!

I'm finally caught up and really enjoying your review, as I always do. I think I mentioned on your Pride review that Winston was one of our bartenders at the Red Frog Rum Bar on our Liberty cruise (southern itinerary out of San Juan in September 2015). We loved Winston!!! He and two others we had on our Liberty cruise were the absolute best, so it's nice to see he's still with Carnival, although bouncing from ship to ship. Hopefully we'll get to sail with him again one day.

I remember you telling me that. He is such a great person. They brought him on the Paradise to help set up the newly installed Red Frog Rum Bar. He will be leaving the Paradise in early May to go home for vacation. He will be going to the Valor after his vacation is over,

Day # 2 - A Fun Day at Sea.

We woke up at 8am to a cloudy day. The seas were a bit choppy but we didn’t feel the ship moving too much. It was windy, so they closed off the upper decks. Here are today’s Fun Times…..

Our first order of business today would be to attend the Diamond Party with Captain Orazio D’aita at the American Piano Bar at 10:30am. On the way there Patti stopped to take some pictures of the Blue Riband Library……

There are 15 Diamond members aboard the Paradise this cruise. Here is our invitation……

We sat with our friends Jim and Pat. The drinks and snacks were flowing freely as usual. Captain D’aita and Jennifer the Guest Services Manager sat with us for a long time, telling us all about the cruises to Cuba, and how we needed to go there one day. They did a pretty good job of convincing us, so I think we will be looking into it in the future. The Party lasted well over an hour, and then of course it was time for pictures. Here is the group shot, which we received for free…..
