Stace894 Posted May 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2018 I've never seen that. Only for sale in the ships shop. We always bring a deck of our own.
pmoniz Posted May 9, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Thanks. I'll try and remember just to pack a deck! Carnival gives them away at pursers desk so wasn't sure if NCL did the same. Adding to my packing list now. Thanks again
zqvol Posted May 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2018 I have gotten them from the service desk a couple of times. I have never found them in the game room or casino, though I have never asked at the cage in the casino if they have them available.
tef43 Posted May 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Haven't seen them do this in over 30 years.
Sauer-kraut Posted May 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2018 I'm holding on to my unopened deck of NCL logo cards.... last I heard they were giving away old casino Bicycle decks ... BORING! (and they might have stopped doing this completely)
Rare mking8288 Posted May 10, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 10, 2018 I recalled seeing them for sale in the Breakaway's gift shop, priced at $6 or 7.95 or something like that ... jumbo/oversized - cannot be mixed up with the playing decks in the casino. Didn't look around on the Gem last week ? I couldn't even find a small writing pad and a pen in our stateroom, apparently, several other CC members on the Roll Call realized that while chatting over lunch. Best to bring one's own along as I wouldn't count on it being "free" these days. Our CAS friends brought along 2 decks of "used" cards sold in one of the AC's casino, cheaply at $1.50 or $2 - debited off their comp dollars. Those were nice, premium quality with a hole punch thru - recycled from the gaming floor.

MyTMo777 Posted May 11, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 11, 2018 On our Jan/Feb cruise on the Dawn, we couldn't even find any to buy in the gift shop! We ended up buying some in one of the ports. Later I did see something about cards being available to be checked out in the library.
Suzieanna Posted May 11, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 11, 2018 You could go and win a trivia competition... I have about 12 decks obtained thst way!
Hearthosesteeldrumsplayin Posted May 11, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 11, 2018 We also tried to purchase cards on our last cruise and couldn't find! I have a great double set that included dice from a previous cruise that I'm packing for this cruise! We did win some at trivia a couple of cruises ago! Have never thought to ask at guest services or casino!

candigirl41 Posted May 11, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 11, 2018 I keep my Carnival cards packed in my suitcase at all times. I cracked up when someone commented on my Norwegian cruise about my Carnival cards. Candi
