Bliss: Which docks in Alaska.

 Share

Recommended Posts

Any berth in any of the ports can vary from cruise to cruise. Will depend on which ship(s) arrives and leaves first plus the number of ships in a given port on a given day. Local Port officials determine what ship docks where. No way to know for sure where The Bliss will be docked in which port in advance.

Ewe bad location - have to bus 1/4 mile into town center.

Prime Berths are right under the Mt. Roberts Tram.

With that many pax on the Bliss it may be easier to hike it into town, then to wait for the buses.

They are all listed here. http://claalaska.com/?page_id=1551

You can also tell how many other ships will be in each port at the same time.

Thanks so much. I knew there was a website that gave that information, but I couldn’t find it.

Looks like the Bliss will be at the following docks:

Ketchikan- Berth 3

Juneau- AJ Dock

Skagway- RRA Dock

Ketchikan and Skagway are good locations, IMO. I wish we weren’t at the AJ in Juneau, but it’s a short day there.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Skagway- RRA Dock

RRA Dock - means - Railroad Dock AFT

RRA Dock is number 6 in picture

http://skagway.com/cruise-ship-calendar/

Ship in right foreground is at dock RRA

Summary the RRA dock is a long walk into town - shuttle vehicles are provided.

If taking helicopter shore excursions - about a mile long walk over flat terrain
