Oasis Stay on Ship Labadee Day

Recommended Posts

Apologies if I am posting in the wrong place. I could not find how to post on a thread for a particular ship..

My hubs and I are going to be on Oasis for our 20th Anniversary. Our actual Anniversary falls on Labadee port day. I am pretty sure we will want to stay on the ship and I wondered will we be able to get a nice drink to have by the pool (are any bars open around lunch time?) that day if we choose to stay on ship?

I understand dining rooms are more than likely closed on in port days but what about places like the hot dog shop or even rooms service lunch?

Thank you so much for advice! We are so crazy excited about spending time on Oasis!

Yes, there will be bars open on the ship. WJ will be open and snack places. The Casino is closed while in port, and many of the shops will be closed. There are always people who stay on board during port stops. You can sometimes even get really good deals on spa treatments if you reserve a time slot when the ship is in port.

Can you tell me more about poolside service? Are there waiters that bring you cocktails from the bar?

Pretty much exactly that - guys are always around the pool area asking if anyone wants drinks. Our last cruise also had a guy with a beer cart as well.

It's a cruise ship - there are always bars open:p

RCCL has roaming waiters to serve drinks around the pool etc but not as many as there used to be since they started selling booze packages. But there's always a bar not far away if you have to go get your own.

Thank you so much for the quick replies! I am so happy to hear we will have options. I have dreamed about just lazing by the pool with a pretty cocktail on our anniversary for weeks!

This is my absolute favorite thing to do when I don’t feel like visiting a particular port. Almost like having the pool to yourself. Just delightful.

Thank you! this sounds like my idea of heaven. Hubs would really dig a beer cart LOL!

We were on Oasis last week for our anniversary, which fell while the ship was docked at Labadee. We stayed on the ship and had plenty to do, hot tubs to ourselves and restaurants not crowded.

Enjoy your day, very relaxing,
