twonewbiecruisers Posted July 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2018 Thoughts on best deck on Anthem? I'll be traveling with my husband and my father + his wife. Looking for convenience to venues with still having a nice view from the balcony. We'll be looking for 1 balcony and 1 interior. Thank you for your help! vrock Posted July 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2018 We were in cabin 9648 a couple of years ago loved it. It was very close to elevators and the balcony was huge. I love being close to the elevators so convenient. The cabin is on the back side of the hump . I would definitely book this cabin again . Have a great cruise. :)

Looking for convenience to venues with still having a nice view from the balcony. We'll be looking for 1 balcony and 1 interior. Thank you for your help! We like midship with cabins above and below. Also consider one balcony view on deck 9 and one central park view. The cPV are great cabins, slightly larger then inside and you get light! Deck nine CPV do not have a balcony, but a really nice sitting area by the window Price almost the same as interior. Enjoy

Cruise a holic Posted July 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 11, 2018 The Anthem does not have Central Park. Thought about Allure. Forgot that ship is like the Quantum! Not the same as the oasis class!

boscobeans Posted July 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 11, 2018 (edited) Pull up the deck plans from the web site. Verandas from deck 7 up have great views. Deck seven is above the life boats and should not be a problem as far as a view goes although as with almost any verandas the lifeboats can be seen when looking down. If you want your veranda to be on the same deck as the interior there are plenty to choose from on almost any deck from 7 on up. The ships venues can be seen in relation to the banks of elevators which are at the front and rear of midship. Ship motion on the upper decks is slightly more of a problem for some who tend to be more sensitive to it. Staterooms at the extreme rear of the ship can be a walk from the elevators and could be something to look at, depending on mobility. We always book verandas with staterooms above and below. Not above or below any areas with activities. Best of cruising to your family. bosco Edited July 11, 2018 by boscobeans add info

NewSalt Posted July 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted July 14, 2018 We're on Anthem now on Deck 7 and our view is partially obstructed by life boats (although we did not pay obstructed-view price). What's worse is the structure that holds the lifeboat is directly opposite our balcony, and it's very white and really adds a lot of light pollution. We have decided nothing lower than Deck 9 in the future. But we still love the ship.
ryanl02 Posted July 16, 2018 #11 Share Posted July 16, 2018 Last year I stayed in a balcony cabin on deck 10 midship. Non obstructed view and quiet since nothing is directly above or below it.
Baron Barracuda Posted July 16, 2018 #12 Share Posted July 16, 2018 Deck 5 has outside promenade where people sometimes congregate noisily, especially near theater entrance. There is also an outdoor smoking area toward the rear of deck 5 starboard. Smoke and noise drift up and aft. Have read quite a few noise complaints about deck 13. Cabins there are directly beneath pool deck or Windjammer.
lovelife Posted July 16, 2018 #13 Share Posted July 16, 2018 We avoid the Adventure Ocean (kiddie) areas on decks 11 and 12 forward. Also 10 forward as that puts you directly under them.
gaylemh Posted July 17, 2018 #14 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Always book deck 12 close to the mid-ship elevators. Only 2 flights to the pool and WJ and nothing above or below except cabins. An easy walk to the CL too.
