possum52 Posted July 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Taxi or Uber would be suitable, there is also the train from the airport which will take you to Circular Quay. My DH and I have used the train after a cruise or if we are holidaying in Sydney. We usually have a largish suitcase and a backpack each and manage quite easily. The walk from the station is less than 10 minutes to the OPT (Overseas Passenger Terminal). Leigh
dkata Posted July 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2018 What is the best way to get from the airport to the Circular Quay area? Taxi, Uber.... If you have more than two people, an Uber or taxi is more economical than the airport train which is now AUD$18.70 each and you'll want to get an OPAL card for discounts. the Uber we took from the airport to Darling Harbor (which is within a mile of CQ) cost us around AUD $25 and the driver put the bags in the trunk for us, so no heavy hauling or lifting. So we found it better to take the UBER than the train.
