Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 27, 2018 Author #476 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Was there any comedy shows you saw? We saw Beer Prov. It was an adults only, improv comedy show. They use ideas from the audience and turn it into skits. While funny, I did not care to see them more than once. Hubby loved it. JohnIreland Posted July 27, 2018 #477 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Does NCL offer Cirque Du Soleil at Sea on one of their ships ? MSC Cruises has managed to secure a partnership with Cirque Du Soleil like MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas. Cirque Du Soleil at Sea is currently on MSC Meraviglia and on MSC Bellissima & MSC Grandiosa in the near future. They have "cirque dream and dinners" on most of the larger ships. Not official Cirque Du Soleil but similar type show.
strikerSBG Posted July 27, 2018 #478 Share Posted July 27, 2018 I have not found the site you list above to be reliable or accurate. I just Googled "cruise ship schedule for St. Thomas." First two sites that came up have the schedule and explain which dock the ship will be at. Didn't bother to review the other sites.http://www.**********/cruise/ship-schedule/ https://stjohnsource.com/2018/07/23/cruise-ship-schedule-for-st-thomas-for-july-2018/ The asterisks are vinow dot com in case that link doesn't work. Thanks a lot Linda! Found these two sites also yesterday - but they are not looking that much into the future as I wanted to them... No problem - still 169 days left until our cruise. :loudcry:;)
SirWolf Posted July 27, 2018 #479 Share Posted July 27, 2018 They have "cirque dream and dinners" on most of the larger ships. Not official Cirque Du Soleil but similar type show. You are right, the shows are not official Cirque Du Soleil. It is almost impossible to re-create a Cirque Du Soleil production show. Cirque Du Soleil is the largest theatrical producer in the world for a reason. The only show close to Cirque Du Soleil is Le Reve (Wynn Hotel & Casino) in Las Vegas. Le Reve was originally created by Franco Dragone, who directed Cirque Du Soleil shows for 13 years.

Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 27, 2018 Author #481 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Day 7: Nassau Good morning all! We arrived about 45min ago to a beautiful morning in Nassau. There are quite a few ships in port today. We have no plans to get off the ship today. Sitting here in the lounge having some tea and then off to ride the water slides. I also have not forgotten about doing a scope of the YC pool area so that is coming later as well. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

LadyVol1 Posted July 27, 2018 #485 Share Posted July 27, 2018 This question is probably for frank808 or anyone that knows about the 14-day Seaside cruise. I guess the evening shows are repeated the following week. Is this correct? Or is there a chance that we will see 14 different nighttime entertainment shows? Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 27, 2018 Author #486 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Update on the height requirements for the slides. They said that it goes by height and not age. They admitted that the sign is confusing and they have tried to cover that up with no luck. So if you have a 5 year old that is 40 inches or taller, he or she is good to go. Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 27, 2018 Author #487 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Another update about the slides....I don't remember reading this on the CC boards before, but the slide boarding is not available anymore. A crew member told us that it was up and running for a few months and then people started getting stuck so they have since shut it down. They are trying to fix it but they have no set date as to when it will run again. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

More like previews of the theatre shows. Sometimes it was not on the schedule of activities. We just happened to watch it while walking the ship in the evening. Did you ride the double raft with your husband? That slide with the tubes and the brown slide were our favorites. They were way more fun than the zipline. Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 27, 2018 Author #494 Share Posted July 27, 2018 More thoughts on the slides: Hubby said the 2 racer slides are comparable to the Prefect Storm slides on Harmony. He thinks the Champagne bowl slide on Harmony is still the best. The other slide with the inner tubes is almost exactly the same as the Aqua Duck on DCL. The only differences there are that this slide is darker and the final drop is steeper. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
markf Posted July 27, 2018 #495 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Thanks for the Arthur pic. It is not the same Maitr D from the Divina last fall. In answer to some questions about the shows, the shows need to be universally understood due to the variety of languages passengers understand. Therefore there is seldom a comedian on MSC
Lovetocruise2002 Posted July 27, 2018 Author #496 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Hubby's thoughts on how the zip line compares to OA class....he thought once was enough and that this zipline here on the Seaside was slightly better than OA class only because it goes further. He did mention though that he encounter the rudest staff member so far at the zipline. All other crew member, both within YC and outside YC, have been awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Forums We liked the oasis class lziplines better even though it is way shorter. The oasis ones are faster and "higher" than seaside. Higher meaning height from zipline to the deck underneath you. The seaside one is a nice ride across the pool deck but that walk up is pretty long.
