Princess seems to be avoiding pictures of the Retreat Pool with all the added cabins on both the port and aft sides of the pool. Wonder why?

With the addition of the surrounding cabins, they may as well rename it from the "Retreat Pool" to the "Surrender Pool".

I will also second the comments about how deep these pools are!!!

I just happened across a popular video cruise review blog/review where this guy was very strong with his comments about What Were They Thinking???? Pools that you have to tread water in???? Just awful. (another line - but still very very sound feedback and advice for Princess here.

 

I think the comments on their press release mention deep pools?

I am, well, vertically challenged, so making the pools less deep so people can stand, wade, swim, in them and enjoy them without clinging to the side might not help me that much. But, still.... Princess!!!!????? are you listening!!!!

 

Since they have not released any artist renderings verifying the added cabins closing in and obliterating the retreat pool, can one hold out hope that they are second guessing that.

As I mentioned earlier... A girl can dream, but, I DON'T THINK SO!!!.

since we are redesigning the pool areas

 

1) make all pools with STEPS and handrails to walk down into the pools, not ladders

 

2) have some seating that is more than one foot off the floor that makes it easier for people to sit down and get up

 

3) have some chairs intermixed with the loungers around the pool decks

 

4) monitor the loungers more - ah, nevermind - that's not going to happen...:(

If you look closely, you will see that the entry is actually stair steps and not a ladder. (Photo is of Emerald. Crown is the same way.)

And if we're really going to get picky, it's actually called the Terrace Pool. Retreat Pool is on the Royal Class ships. ;):D

I thought I remembered some of the main pools on the lido deck just having ladders...

 

maybe not

but...I do know (think) it's the Outrigger bar back there...maybe...
