If you request to pay cash on board, do you literally have to pay in cash ie pounds/dollars or can you settle the account using your debit card.
Hmm interesting question. We always pay in cash but we put 500 bucks in cash and then when that is depleted we put in another 500.

So that's a good start. Can I pay in GBP or does it have to be in Dollars.

You can pay in GBP, but the conversion rate will not be good. Better to pay using a GBP credit card and let your bank to the conversion.

If you plan to use the debit card, do NOT put it "on file" at the beginning of the cruise or "Holds" will incur. Simply keep your account as "cash"...when you pay it off, you can then use the debit for a direct charge against your account.
