I put in a bid to upgrade to a balcony. I liken it to Priceline. Ncl can either accept or reject my bid. If accepted, I don’t have a choice of balcony cabin

That is NCL, Princess does not have the sam kind of program. It’s blind bidding on NCL and the top bids win.

One of my friends and her mother both received an upgrade from interiors to a balconies at approximately 10 months prior to their cruise. It can happen!
