Yikes. Chris would burn down the house. She hates snakes. I merely dislike them...

 

A few weeks ago I had to pull a dead garter snake out of the pool filter basket, though. Gave me the willies. Poor little guy. But nothing like a live copperhead. 

 

 

I picked the first tomatoes from the planter bed two days ago and they ripened nicely on the windowsill. Today they were ready!

 

 

Today I finally picked the first eggplant!

 

 

I roasted the eggplant chunks, added them to the tomatoes, along with some basil. Made a delicious salad.

 

 

Beautiful night here, low 80s with low humidity and a gentle breeze. Went for a walk after dinner. Will try to see the comet again tonight if the conditions cooperate.

Regis Philbin died today..........he was 88 and will be missed!  I remember when "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" came

out.  That show took over the whole country! I know they have done since then but I think he was the best host😀

Agree that Regis was a fun, interesting guy.  Loved it when he would come on David Letterman's show.  Regis was a super fan for his Notre Dame.  Never knew what was next going to come out of his mouth.  

 

Snakes and food here at the Cooler.  Not boring or bland.

We are ok so far. We go nowhere.

We walk the dog or perhaps take a drive to exercise the cars but that's it. 

This is not a political statement but an observation that we are at the mercy of some very diabolical "leaders" who have made us expendable.
