LizzGo Posted August 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Just booked Fantasia Oct 17 leaving out of Barcelona. I have a couple of questions: Drinks - included- is this a premium package or do we need to upgrade? I ask this because on Celebrity we always upgraded so we didn’t have to think about whether or not our drink was included or not. Restaurants: How many choices included? Are specialty worth the up charge? Any other FYI’s appreciated! TYIA Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Beamafar Posted August 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2018 You get the Deluxe (premium) package included with a YC booking which covers everything from the menus in the rest of the ship's bars/lounges except the Super Premium Selection items which are marked with 2 asterisks. There's a Med Bar List thread with menus similar to what will be offered onboard - all items, including those with 1 asterisk are included. Here's a link: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2649741 In YC, items not included in Top Sail Lounge will have a price next to them; included items won't show a price as YC is all-inclusive. Apart from the YC dedicated restaurant, L'Étoile (at the back of the ship!) you have access to the buffet. The speciality restaurant (only one on Fantasia) is a Tex-Mex - El Sombrero - the last time we ate there was very unsatisfactory, both food and service. LizzGo Posted August 7, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Very helpful, thanks. Just to be clear: one asterisk is included in premium package and two is up charge? What did you think about L Etoile?
Rare Beamafar Posted August 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Out of the 4 Fantasia-class YC restaurants, L'Étoile is the only one I haven't experienced. However, service and food offerings are pretty much similar in all YC restaurants, food ranging from mediocre to excellent, depending on the dish selected (though they will do their very best to ensure you enjoy your meals there), service is amazing and the atmosphere, decor, etc is wonderful. Rare little britain Posted August 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2018 (edited) Are tips included in your YC fare or are they extra? If so how much please? 39august Posted August 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2018 And are gratuities extra charge or included in the price for the YC?
Rare Beamafar Posted August 8, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Tips/gratuities (Daily Service Charges) aren't included in the fare. They are €10 pppd or $12.50, depending on which currency is being used onboard. (That's the adult rates - they have lower rates for children which I don't know offhand, but you can find them in the online brochure on the website).
