lauraingalls Posted August 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Hi, We are doing a Christmas cruise on the Dream. We booked 2 cabins for DH, myself and 3 teens. We plan on the 2 of us in one cabin and the teens next door to us. For the adults, we booked an ocean suite which comes with priority boarding. The other room is a balcony and doesnt have priority boarding. I am listed as the adult in the balcony room and DH is on the suite with one of our kids. Will they let all of us priority board or only my DH and son?
DallasGuy75219 Posted August 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2018 If they follow Carnival policy, only DH and son. Sent from my SM-J727P using Forums mobile app
Rare Essiesmom Posted August 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2018 It's priority checkin. Only the boarding pass for the suite will say priority. EM
skrufy Posted August 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2018 You have three choices. Check in seperately or all wait until your check in time and check in together. FTTF for the balcony would solve your problem.
asalligo Posted August 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Yes, buy FTTF for the kids balcony and you will both have priority boarding.
Schoifmom Posted August 13, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2018 OR, if all of the kids are minors, keep yourself and DH in the suite and they will permit the minor children to board with you.

teknoge3k Posted August 15, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2018 If you buy FTTF then the FTTF can board shortly after the suites/priority boarding. Then with FTTF your 1 cabin will be ready so you can go to it and not wait until 1:30, and you'll have the other perks as well.
jocko4279 Posted August 15, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Last Carnival cruise we went on my friend came with us. He is platinum (priority boarding) and took his daughter and her friend in a separate cabin (not priority). Had no trouble at all just boarding priority as a group. No one ever even asked. If it's your kids they are not going to question you and turn them away.

Only one parent is in the suite the other parent is booked in the cabin with the other minors. Booking both parents in the suite will get those kids onboard with priority boarding. normandes Posted August 15, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 15, 2018 They will let you check in togeather under priority boarding. in past 10 years have never been denied.
PhillyFan33579 Posted August 15, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 15, 2018 They will let you check in togeather under priority boarding. in past 10 years have never been denied. I have seen people turned away from the priority waiting area numerous times. I guess a lot depends on the port and who is working on any given day. Of course if the kids are minors they can board with their parents.
robertlanajean Posted August 15, 2018 #13 Share Posted August 15, 2018 If they buy FTTF will the system be smart enough to only add it to the balcony room? I'm guessing it will add to both rooms if they buy online?

I just had to do that with 5 cabins and all using a different credit card.

lauraingalls Posted August 17, 2018 Author #18 Share Posted August 17, 2018 Thanks. I was curious. It truly isnt a big deal if hubby and 16yr old board first and the 15yr twins and I wait. I might get FTTF if it becomes available again.
