ginger2103 Posted August 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Haven't found much information on the accessible rooms for NCL so I'm hoping others here might be able to help. Are the toilets in the room higher? I know in the regular rooms they can be quiet low, so I'm a little concerned about the height for my father. raindropsalways Posted August 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2018 I never actually measured them but was told many times that they are normally 17”. I know the ones on NCL are higher than standard plus they have the grab bars. Never had to struggle on NCL. Have a wonderful cruise, Betty
GUT2407 Posted August 31, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Most lines will provide a raised seat if it’s not high enough.
AZ Karaoke Girl Posted September 24, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2018 I don't think they are any taller but accessible cabins come with the grab bars. That is why I book accessible cabins. I wish they would put the grab bars in all cabins then I wouldn't have to book h/c cabins at all.
kokopelli-az Posted September 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Direct from NCL's website: Wheelchair accessible staterooms are available on all our ships. We recommend you book well in advance as possible as availability is limited. Accessible staterooms offer wider door frames, roll in showers, shower benches, high-rise toilets and handrails in shower and toilet area. This link has more accessible information if you haven't already seen it: https://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising
