I just got FTTF!

We are on the Christmas Horizon sailing. I have been checking a couple of times a day for months to try to get FTTF but it has always shown at sold out. To my shock I was able to add it today.

I still don't know if we will NEED it. But I can cancel it before the time comes, right? We have a family Suite so we already get on the ship first. But that early room access is so very appealing to me. We plan to bring some pop and wine on board and do not want to lug that around with us through lunch.

I feel like I just won a lottery, LOL. Except... A lottery where I had to pay $90 heeehee.

Log into your booking and check Excursions. It should be listed for your home port. If it's not there yet you're too far out. Otherwise it will be listed as available or Sold Out.

Strange it is still not there and we sail in december... But it is a 14 day so there may be more diamonds and platinums limiting the availability of fttf.

Congrats! Definitely 100% worth it in my opinion. Just sailed on the Imagination this week. We were on board, carryons dropped off in the room, and eating a Guy’s burger and sipping a Funship special by 11:40. Checked bags were delivered early and I was able to unpack before muster. Was able to bypass long lines at Guest Services a couple times. And we were personally escorted to a tender for Catalina. Money well spent.

Congrats! I know exactly how that feels! We sail the end of this month (EEEEEK!!!) and I was finally able to score our FTTF a few weeks ago after being booked since January! The last time we cruised with FTTF we said we would never do it without it again! I, 100% think it's worth it! Enjoy!

FTTF is not offered on journeys cruises. Sounds like that's what you have booked. If so, stop looking. Yes, more plats and diamonds go on those.

I was able to cancel FTTF for the Conquest (December 2018) with no problem. Refund posted to my credit card in five days. I applied the $90 to a last minute 3-nighter that was priced very attractively. That 3-nighter will make me Platinum on the Conquest, thus no need for FTTF.

On our last trip on the Dream I was also eating a Guy's burger on Lido at 11:50. Yes, I had my small rolling carryon still with me, but I also had my $90 still available to spend on useful things. We had access to our stateroom within a half hour of finishing our lunch.

We were .also able to unpack before muster, but the five minutes we spend doing that is no big deal either way. Trips to GS are rare and easily accomplished early in the day. We've never had a problem with tenders and don't need a personal escort.

YMMV

Congrats!! I'm sailing on the Freedom in late April and FTTF shows sold out. I know that it may never be available, but checking every day, when would it be logical to say that it just won't be available for my cruise? TIA.

We are just over 3 months from sale date. I have been checking almost daily for the past 3 months. It has shown as sold out for at least 6 months. We also have a March cruise that we booked last month. We were able to purchase FTTF at the time of booking for that one. Good luck to you!

I feel the same way as you do. I have only cruised twice, both times on the Dream. I had FTTF first cruise and it was sold out for my second cruise so I was a little disappointed until I boarded and realized that I never needed FTTF and that was before it went up to $90. I will not purchase again.

I don't see a Day 0 section - my days begin with Day 1 but my cruise is in Nov 2019.

Wow, but the good news your soda (pop) just went up in price to $90.00. Wouldn't it be better not to get the soda, check your bags with the porter, and just buy a soda package? Than you wouldn't have to run to your room every time you want a soda, and the extra tips to have your ice filled daily.

my first cruise last summer on the vista I could not get FTTF. I checked for months and it was always sold out. I did have check in at 10:30 at the Miami port....I don't remember our zone number but it feels like we waited forever in that terminal with our back packs and soda cases.....when we finally boarded the ship was FULL...we found a few chairs and took turns watching our stuff and getting food and drinks. it was a stressful way to start my first cruise. Our next cruise is in June on the horizon and we do have FTTF....so excited to just drop off our stuff and wander the ship at our leisure. This is just one of those topics that no one will ever agree on.....and that's ok because there is not enough FTTF's to go around anyway!

This sounds like me...we have only been on one cruise (disney) and I recall waiting forever to get on....and then being annoyed with the hours of lugging stuff (and kids) around an unfamiliar ship....maybe if we traveled lighter and were cruising experts it would be fine to skip the expense. But $90 is about 1% of the total cost of this cruise (for 5, at christmas), which seems like a very small amount to get our vacay started a bit sooner.

What I will never understand is how you spend your money is any concern of anyone else. To a lot of people, FTTF is worth every penny. You rarely see anyone telling people not to spend money in the casino, play bingo, buy gold by the inch, go to the steakhouse, etc. You never see anyone saying don't book an inside cabin on deck 6 because it costs more than an inside cabin on deck 5 and the view is the same for both cabins. It's your money. Spend it the way you like.

I really care not how others spend their money, but since this allegedly is a discussion forum I am allowed to express my opinion on the subject as well. Sorry it doesn’t agree with yours, but that’s what makes the world go round.
