Chiliburn Posted September 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2018 I’m not a smoker but my sister didn’t think they were a bargain about half the price of Sydney she said. I think if they were free it would be too expensive.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted September 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Cigarettes are also expensive in NZ. Another thing to consider is the amount you can take ashore with you free of duty. I stand to be corrected but I think that nowadays its only one packet of 20. Any you buy on board will have to be smoked on board to enjoy the duty freeedom or a duty paid on the rest of the Carton you take with you. Thecat123 Posted September 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Travellers to New Zealand Duty-free tobacco is limited to: 50 cigarettes or 50 grams of cigars or tobacco products or 50 grams of a mixture of all three For each person And I think Aussie is the same
PerfectlyPerth Posted September 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Aus is not the same as NZ. It was reduced to 25 cigs some time ago. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/ente/brin/can-i-bring-it-back/can-i-bring-it-back-duty-free/can-i-bring-tobacco-or-cigarettes-back Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare MicCanberra Posted January 22, 2019 #19 Share Posted January 22, 2019 As long as sleeping like a baby doesn't mean wetting yourself, that sounds great. I haven't had a decent night sleep for over three weeks now, (not since getting off the Explorer OTS.)

Have you worked out what deck your cabin is on.because there’s only 2 smoking areas. one on deck 5 and 14.They are very strict.$100US fine or cleaning change as they call it. I’ve seen people who love their cigarette and have a long walk down a corridor then have to wait for a lift .not a pleasant experience. I felt for them. Thanks chilburn, I really appreciate this, the duty on bringing in cigars ( and cigarettes) into Australia is very expensive, I really enjoy a evening cigar while cruising just trying to work the most cost effective way of getting cigars , hence why I’d really appreciate youfinding out what cigars ( brands) they have on board ( in the bars and shops) if you can, and how much they are so really appreciate your help Hope you having a fantastic time, what’s the weather, ship, food and service like? i think we are on deck 7 🙏🏻
