Roburt Posted September 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I noticed that from December Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam will have the above live music rooms. Will these be replacing the existing B B King's Blues Club rooms ?? My favorite thing on the Holland America ships is the entertainment provided 3 times nightly in the Blues Club rooms. If these are being replaced by a room which features just boring live rock groups, then I shall be giving Holland America a big miss in future. Roburt Posted September 20, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted September 20, 2018 You might want to look for the two other threads on this same subject. No idea how to find them. Looked down the list of recent HAL threads & can't find anything applicable.

Statendam: Billboard, BB King, and Lincoln Center Stage. Some of the venues are changing location, with the Ocean Bar being included as one of the music venues. As to other ships that feature BB King, I think it will stay that way. I believe the information is relevant only to the K-dam and N. Statendam - but I could be wrong. Rare POA1 Posted September 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2018 It's an ADDITIONAL venue. The two newest ships will have Lincoln Center Stage, Billboard Onboard, BB King, and the Rolling Stone Rock Room.
Roburt Posted September 20, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted September 20, 2018 That's good to know. Don't think I'll spend much time (if any) in the Rolling Stone Room, I'll stick with the great music in B B Kings' on any future HAL ship cruises. Correct; the other six ships that currently feature the BB King bands don't have the space for the Rolling Stone Rock Room unless we're talking converting an existing room
Rare POA1 Posted September 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I'm of the opinion that it's always better to have more entertainment choices. Even if something is not my cup of tea, somebody's bound to like it.

Rare Copper10-8 Posted September 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Crow's Nest After Hours or Crow's Nest After Dark Don't think so, my friend! Too many complaints about noise from the "BB Kings in the Crow's Nest" experiment on Rotterdam
WScruiser Posted September 20, 2018 #12 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I'm glad to see another venue of this type. It's darn hard to get DH to dance, (although it happens more often on a cruise than anywhere else!) but in BB King's and the Rolling Stone Rock Room I can drag my SIL out to the floor! It was much more like a club venue compared to the auditorium style of Queens Rooms.

Yeah; would have liked to see them in the Crow's Nest on the remaining two "S"-class and remaining three "R"-class vessels also, but it's not to be :(

And some of the "brass" on the ship seemed to agree as well. I saw the Captain's wife and the Hotel Director enjoying the music more than once during my cruise.
