Drinks package as a perk

If you choose the drinks package as a perk are the gratuities included, if not how do the gratuities for drinks work?

Gratuities are included unless you purchase a drink that costs more than you package allows.. you will be charged gratuity on the amount of the overage charge....ie.  plan includes drinks up to $8 and you purchase a glass of wine at $16 you will be charged gratuity on the $8 dollar difference

The limit for Classic Drinks Package is $9 not $8.

 I believe that Crash3x was just using that price point as an example and not suggesting that the dollar amount stated in the example was the actual limit of the Classic Drinks Package.

I was not quoting actually drink prices.  Just expressing examples of how charges may look on your acct if you go over your drink cost on your plan

Since you are from the UK you might be interested to know that many cruises departing from the UK do not add gratuities to the drink prices - rather they inflate the drink prices to include the gratuity. Hence the price ceiling on the Classic Package is then also inflated from the regular $9 to I believe $11. And then if you select a glass of wine priced at $13, you then pay only the $2 difference without the additional 18%.
