Mudhen Posted October 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2018 Does anyone know when the QM2 begins to decorate for Xmas?
Rare LadyL1 Posted October 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2018 Last year when we were on the QV Caribbean cruise Nov-Dec, a Canadian company came on board for a few days to beautifully attire the ship in decorations. We spoke to them and they told us that for the past few years they had done all the Cunard ships. With this in mind, QM2 will probably be festooned sometime in early December. CateW Posted October 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2018 We've done this cruise a few times, by the end of the cruise, almost everything should be ready for Christmas. It's so pretty.

pepperrn Posted October 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2018 I was onboard QM2 for the late November Caribbean Cruise in 2016 and most of the decorations were in place (more added during the voyage). Many of the decorated rooms can been seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pepperrn/albums/72157627503155752 Photos from the cruise can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pepperrn/albums/72157676774009275
Rare 57eric Posted October 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Last year there was not one iota of decoration on the same cruise, but that may have been due to the movie premier that was held in New York the evening the ship returned. AspirationalFlyer Posted October 23, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 23, 2018 When does the gingerbread village appear? What are the highlights on the Xmas decorations? The tree and the gingerbread village?
Radar boomer Posted October 23, 2018 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2018 Pic of ginger house from 2016, if I recall it was a chocolate train last year but can’t find a picture
ExArkie Posted October 23, 2018 #14 Share Posted October 23, 2018 I had this picture of the train. According to the display, it was made from 60 kg of Godiva chocolate,
