GTY on RCI Navigator-how to tell what type of cabin

Hi all,

I recently changed from an inside stateroom to a GTY balcony on Navigator of the Seas.  On my receipt it doesn't actually state that it is for a balcony. It simply says GTY.  Is this normal?  I don't usually book Guarantees and am not familiar with how it shows on the receipt.

Thanks,

Kathy

Do you have the actual PDF file copy of your booking confirmation?  That should show a category designation.

That is what my JS GTY shows too, not category designation at all, just GTY.

NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS

Stateroom: Description:  GTY

Above was copied from the PDF.  No indication of the type of stateroom.

It will always say GTY the edocs will have the exact category....👍

Perhaps it has changed, but our suite guarantees would always have the "W" designation on the PDF booking confirmation.

Update:  I emailed Royal Caribbean and received the following message:

Dear Kathleen:

Thank you for your email. My name is Doug and it is my pleasure to help you today.

I checked your invoice and agree with you – the type of Guarantee you have does not appear on the guest version. However, I can confirm that you are assigned to an Ocean-View Balcony Guarantee upgrade for this cruise. I am sorry your invoice does not show this explicitly, but you will have your own private view of the sea on the Navigator of the Seas!

Kathleen, thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International. We look forward to welcoming you aboard the Navigator of the Seas in February and helping you settle in to your Ocean-View Balcony stateroom!

Sincerely,

Doug Simpson
