Small island with lighthouse

Hello friends, 

  We took a trip to Cozumel, Belize, and Rotan and we saw a small island with a lighthouse, has anyone seen this or does anyone know anything about it?

We need more info to narrow it down.  At what point in your trip did you see it and off what side?

You see one in cozumel. There are many small islands between Belize and Roatan that you will see,  closer to Belize. I have seen some that have houses in the middle of nowhere (seemingly), maybe one of them had something really small. More decorative than useful.

 

The one in cozumel as you sail in and easy to see. It's on a populated area though and you can't tell that it's an island from the ships vantage point. I don't recall seeing one in Roatan.

There was this one in Roatan also.  Sorry the pic isn't great, we were driving by in a bus.  😉

What?!  A small island with a lighthouse in the Caribbean (or any other body of water)?!  How unusual!

There are probably dozens, maybe hundreds, of such lighthouses, not including the ones that are part of a bigger island or the mainland of Central America, possibly attached by just a causeway.

 

More details would be good, so we can narrow it down a bit.

We passed this small island when we were on the Magic last year, sailing between Belize and Roatan. No lighthouse though.
