Hi Jeff!

Glad to see another one of your top-notch reviews is underway. You may recall that before our Sunshine cruise last summer, Ashley and I did the official "Jamman" tour of Somerset, New Jersey. Looks like you did a scaled-down version of a "DCCruiser" tour of Maryland. My half-sister lives about a half-mile from that Best Western in Elkridge. We have started leaving our car at her house when we go on the Pride (or fly anywhere out of BWI). About a month ago we visited her to help move some furniture, and we went to the Stained Glass Pub for dinner that night!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of your review, as "frequenters" of the Pride we've always been curious about Bermuda so this may help us decide whether to pull the trigger for a future cruise!

We remember that well! It is a small world isn't it. Thanks for following along once again. Bermuda is a beautiful island. :classic_cool:

This is one of the best and most detailed reviews I have seen yet. Can’t wait to read more. My first cruise is in January on the Pride. I can’t wait.

Jessieirene Jamman54 has several very well done trip reports posted. I spent hours going through them when I first joined Cruise Critic. You will enjoy reading them and it will really whet your appetite for your cruise. Thanks so much to you Jeff and Patty for the work on these. Lot's of us really enjoy them!

Jeff (and Patti) - Thank you so much for sharing your vacations with us.  I'm sure it's a lot of work.

We had the blessing of sailing in 7112 twice this year - loved it so much the first time we grabbed the chance for an early anniversary trip when the price was right.  Your cabin looks almost the same, even the pictures over the bed and couch 😄We still had the key code safe though and I think our tv was still console not flat.

We considered BW Elkridge for our February trip, but stayed at O'Donnell Street instead since it was closer.  I don't think O'Donnell is as nice as Elkridge and we might try it if we have another overnight stay.  We are only about 3 hours away from the port and it is nice to just drive straight home when we are done, but I think my husband is starting to appreciate getting in the night before and relaxing sooner.

I am interested in reading more of this review and looking at Patti’s great photos

especially since this was a cruise to Bermuda.

We have visited this lovely country thirteen times since our 1983 honeymoon.

I hope that you and Patti had a wonderful cruise and visit to Bermuda.

I do have one question,Jeff.

I have read some of your other cruise reports on CC and I have noticed that often, Patti will go off on her own in ports to shop and /or take photos while you find a place for a cold beverage, Senor Frog establishments, for example. Are you concerned about her safety while she is on her own?

i ask this because sometimes my DH does not want to get off the ship to go shopping or if we are sightseeing together in a port, he wants to get back to the ship ASAP. A disclaimer here, he does deal with anxiety issues.

It seems that you and Patti have an agreement about your separate times off the ship.

Only wish I could get DH to come to an agreement for us !

I am looking forward to the remainder of your report.

Hi Jeff...

I always love your reviews!

I had the pleasure of sailing Pride 4X this year and did the April 8th to Bermuda...I was "almost" on your sailing too.  Got a repeat casino offer with the best deal (FREE) for 10/21 but couldn't make the dates work.

Hoping to do another one (or two) over the winter.😎

Yay! So excited to read this. We’ll be on the Pride for the first time in February. By an chance did you hear anything about what will be done during the upcoming drydock?

Glad to have you aboard! The thing that I have heard most about is changing the 4K cabins by taking out the French doors and replacing them with windows. I'm sure that they will be doing a ton of cosmetic work, because she really, really needs it. Finally, while she is out of the water hopefully they can correct the cause of the vibration in the back of the ship. It can be severe in some of the aft cabins.:classic_cool:

Glad to have you aboard! Wow, thirteen time to Bermuda. Lucky you! It is a beautiful island. This was the fourth visit for us.

As for going off on her own, she is okay with it and so am I. When she goes off by herself to the local malls and yard sales here in New Jersey I don't have any problem with it either. She is aware of her surroundings, and will explore where there are plenty of people. :classic_cool:

Thank  you for your reply!

Bermuda is our go - to vacation place-both land stays and cruises.

i will definitely appreciate Patti’s photos of Bermuda.

As far as going out and about at home, DH is okay with it.

I was born and raised in NYC,so I do have street smarts. But,being a senior lady, I guess he thinks I may loose some of that in an unfamiliar place.

I am grateful that we continue to travel and get to visit places together.

Patti made her way back to the Red Frog Rum Bar to meet us, and then we made our way down to the Normandie Restaurant to meet with Ken Byrne to arrange for our table at Late Seating. We have cruised with Ken many times, and he set us up at a table for four in a perfect location. Thanks again Ken!

hi jammy

its funny how peeps can go on cruises and never even go into the same places!

I barely dropped by the skybox to pick up momma a soda and didn't even really look into the red frog during our cruise on Halloween last week, we spent a lot of time in butterflies doing the comedy thang! and picked up a couple shows and they were just GIVING MONEY AWAY in the casino! …..:classic_rolleyes:

enjoying your photoreview though!

keepitup

hey next time take it easy on the ship so we can get on it earlier....:classic_angry:

We love Red Frog Pub.  On our last cruise we were treated with a small snack of plantain chips and pigeon peas.  They didn't do it on our first cruise on the Pride so I don't know if it's just a sometimes thing, but nice to have.

Patti has a gift for photography that is nicely complimented by your storytelling.  I really appreciate her taking the time to take pictures of all the areas.
