Flights and shuttle to the ship

Ok we have already paid(found out it's cheaper to Uber but when we first set up this cruise we were told San Juan didn't have Uber yet)for transportation to/from ship before/after our flights.  How do they know what time?  What if we changed our flights and came in a day earlier?  Would they come get us at our hotel?  What if we don't fly out until afternoon on the last day?  Are we forced off the ship or can we take our time-or do we then lose our transportation if we aren't outside?

Are you using Carnival transfers? You need to give them your flight info. If you come in the day before, just give them a flight the day of that arrives at a time you will be back at the airport. You will need to disembark at the time and brought to the airport. They might offer an excursion, otherwise you sit at the airport.

You can easily cancel your ground transportation and get a full refund.

Not sure where you are staying but we have had free hotel shuttles from the airport I believe all the spots we have stayed in SJ. Then its typically a cheap and short uber or taxi from hotel to pier....

Wow! Had no idea I could cancel anything.  Was thinking of getting Cheers! and refunding out the case of water I already ordered for the room but didn't think we could do that.  May not be doing Cheers! but at least I know we can refund out the transfers. Thanks for the info.

Remember to go through the agriculture screening in San Juan before your departure flight.

Just off the Glory with airport transfers.  We decided while on the cruise to cancel our post cruise ground transports.  The guy at shore excursions told us yes, we could do that. So, yes, you can cancel just about anything.  I think they want 24 hr notice, but a bit of whining might get that time reduced.

Will always Taxi or Uber from now on. Had Very bad experience with Carnival Ground transfers in Fort Lauderdale. Carnival did airport check in then we waited for 1.5 hrs for the bus to show up. The Carnival reps keep disappearing as i believe they were getting tired of people asking were the bus was. We missed the embarkation photo at the terminal we were so late. Have Sailed over 13 time with Carnival and will continue to do so BUT NEVER again will i use their Ground Transportation.
