Good evening from the Bliss!!

It's a beautiful Sunday evening, Day 2 of the cruise, with our second Sea Day tomorrow before we reach St. Thomas on Tuesday.

My internet time is somewhat limited, but here are my quick hits so far:

- This ship is freaking gorgeous.

- Our Mini-Suite Spa Cabin on Deck 15 is smallish, but the bathroom and especially the shower = amazing!!

- We really enjoyed The Manhattan Room last night and Los Lobos tonight.

- I'm impressed with the speed of the internet.

- We love the crew. Everyone is working so hard. We've already made friends with the terrific Skyline Bar bartenders in the casino!

- Bring your own metal or silicone straws, straw-lovers.

- Cruise Director Silas is really good.

- Our Cruise Critic Meet & Greet today was amazing and the Slot Pull was an absolute blast!! Thanks, shadowmeboy for setting it up! Can't wait to hang out more with this fun crowd.

- Football Fans: We did get two NFL games today and the Sunday night game is on now. We could not find college football anywhere yesterday.

That's it for now! I'll check in tomorrow and answer any questions I can so ask away!

Did you get the room as an upgrade?

Good morning Seth,

When we booked, there were no Spa Mini Suites available so we booked a Spa Balcony. When a Mini-Suite became available, I called our cruise planner at NCL and she booked it for us. With it being only the 2nd Caribbean cruise for the Bliss, I don't think many people were getting upgrades or winning bids. We really wanted this cabin for the location and the truly awesome shower!

Someone report that two weeks ago that the Garden Cafe had many folding chairs rather than the normal chairs typical of that dining area.  Are the folding chairs still there, or have they been replaced?  We are on the next sailing.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

CincyJen I was wondering if you know where you could purchase Vibe passes on the Bliss? There have been different locations posted on these boards, either the Social or Guest Services.

Also if you purchase an all day pass for go karts do you need reservations or do you just walk up/

Lex,

We haven't been in Garden Cafe much, but haven't seen folding chairs while walking thru. Plenty of seating everywhere has been our experience! Ship doesn't feel the least bit crowded even though I'm pretty sure it's close to sold out. We did see a few rows of folding chairs in the Atrium for the presentations.

We, too, are on the next sailing. may I please ask, if you're comfortable sharing, what is your stateroom number and if the bed is by the bathroom or the balcony?

15210, bed is by the balcony!! It's one of the Spa Mini-Suites. It's kinda small! But the bathroom and shower are worth every penny!

Hi Donn!

We didn't purchase either, but when we boarded they directed guests to The Social to buy Spa Passes so maybe it's the same? Sorry I couldn't help.

Speaking of Embarkation!!! So, Bliss Cruisers, we left our Airport Marriott hotel at 10:45 Saturday morning in an Uber. Traffic was hairy after the tunnel but our driver was excellent and skirted around it expertly. We exited the Uber and dropped off our luggage with the porter at 11:00. We were Deck 15 and embarked at B Terminal (they were making announcements, we never received notification but were at B Terminal anyway). YOU GUYS. We were on board and sitting at The Local ordering our first cocktail at 11:25! We still can't believe it!! Expert and easy Embarkation and remember, Symphony, Celebrity Equinox, and MSC Seaside, all mega ships, we're boarding at the same time. It was incredible to be on the ship and starting our vacation so fast!

We were on the Thanksgiving cruise and yes there were folding chairs at some of the tables.  They were at the tables at the very front of the garden cafe.

Live Update Time! It's 12:25 am on the beautiful Norwegian Bliss!

As I type this, I'm sitting on the balcony of my Deck 15 Spa Mini-Suite Cabin and the Caliente Party just above is RAGIN' y'all. Personally, I'm loving it. We just came from there and it was so much fun! But honestly guys, if you booked a Deck 15 Spa Balcony or Mini-Suite for tranquility, you're not going to be happy. Yes, you can hear the bass inside the cabin.  Again, we think it's fun, but we're still awake and hanging out. Just a warning if you're booking this deck for tranquility is all.

Dinner tonight was La Cucina. It was OK. We didn't make it there on the Epic so this was our first try, and honestly, all the bosses were in attendance tonight and it felt like the servers were nervous and on edge. I'm a F&B professional and it just seemed that way to me. It was OK. We enjoyed Los Lobos SO much more last night.

So, I'm listening to Latin tunes, chilling on my deck, the moon is huge and the ocean is gorgeous, and I'm having a blast. More tomorrow. I LOVE THIS SHIP!!

Thanks for posting. We are in a Spa cabin on our upcoming Bliss cruise. How is the Thermal Suite?

The Thermal Suite is very nice, but much, much smaller than the one on the Epic. We're enjoying it!! It's just that it's quite a bit smaller than I expected.

Thanks. We have been on the Getaway and thought the Thermal Suite was a good size. However, it is at the front of the ship. The aft view is more relaxing.

Good Night from St. Thomas Sailaway! It's 6:25 pm local time. Waving  goodbye to the Carnival Breeze and MSC Seaside as we depart Charlotte Amalie.

It's been a glorious Day 4! Changing for dinner now, more later, I still have a few questions to answer and if you have any more, ask me anything!

Have I told you guys that I LOVE THIS SHIP yet?? 😉💗
