 On the ruby we were given plastic straws in the restaurants and bars on the inside of the ship; the outside bars only had paper straws.

That is pretty ingenious! LOL   I think I will get one of those for my purse for back home!  I hate it when the restaurants give me those paper straws!  I carry straws in my purse, but this would get them clean and keep them from breaking.

I wish I could take credit for this idea but I actually read it somewhere. I can’t remember if it was here on CC or somewhere else. I have been caring them since then. Restaurants in California are not allowed to offer you a straw or they will be fined. They can give you one when you ask though.
