Is checked baggage put IN cabins or just in the hallway?

Most of the time they are outside my room, but a few times the steward will put them in the room for me. The earlier you get on the earlier you get your bags.

I wish that were true...but it is not usually the case...especially with the older terminals.

Most times, even though we are on board very early, we are the very last to get our bags.  Think of it as putting the bags (once scanned) into a large holding room.  The bags keep piling up until they put them on the carts into the ship.  Guess whose bags are in the back of that room.  First in...last out.

And then there are times when we are shocked to see our bags next to our cabin door when we check into the cabin...very rare though..

Boarding Oasis this morning.  Will be anxiously looking for our bags soon.  😉

Im not all about having my bag just being left laying around.

Welcome to CC.

An easy solution for this (assuming your bags are small enough to fit through the scanner) is to board with your bags after 1PM and go directly to your cabin.

The main delivery time is during the break time of the room attendants. They go on break shortly after the cabins become available and turn up again prior to Muster Drill.

We've had our room steward deliver our bags on several occasions..

Don't know if he was the one that brought it up to the hall, but for sure was the one who knocked on our door and wheeled our bags in.
