cabin4three Posted December 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2018 (edited) Liverpudlians also have a passion for football (soccer to those from USA ) There is a very long history of shipping in Liverpool with maritime museum and tours, Or if you like social history Port Sunlight is very interesting. There are art galleries & museums that you could do on a DIY tour, some good shopping or local parkland. https://www.visitliverpool.com/explore-the-city Edited December 31, 2018 by cabin4three
Mim Lloyd Posted December 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2018 You'll dock right in the heart of the city very close to the Albert Dock and Liverpool One shopping and leisure area. From there it's an easy and short walk into the historic city centre. Lovely old buildings, lots of nice restaurants and traditional pubs. Cruisen Elf Posted January 7, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2019 I came across this company during my research, but I have not done an excursion with them, so I can't speak from personal experience. They offer shore excursion tours from Liverpool (and other ports) that visit the Lake District, North Wales, or Chester. https://www.busybus.co.uk/cruise-excursions

In 2012 I organized a private tour of North Wales with them. We had 14 people. They were fantastic to deal with. I am planning to use them again if when we are on the Crown Princess 28 day September 10. (Waving at Drives Like Mario. 🙂 ) Evana

That's exactly what I did--except for the rain, I enjoyed wandering around Liverpool as described above.
