Airline Baggage allowance

It is our first MSC cruise in April.

We took advantage of upgrading our flight from UK to Barbados to Virgin Upper Class.

It appears that this is a Virgin Atlantic Charter flight – not their scheduled flight to Barbados.

Has anyone got experience of this type of flight with regard to baggage allowances - both hold and cabin.

Many thanks

No difference if scheduled or Charter they are booking under Virgins rules

Upper Class baggage allowance

All passengers in Upper Class can take up to three pieces of baggage, each weighing up to 32kg (70lb) and with dimensions of up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16ins).

Upper Class

All Upper Class passengers can take up to two pieces of hand baggage per person, weighing up to 12kg (26lb) for one bag, or up to 16kg (35lb) combined weight. So for example, you could take a 12kg bag and another little bag of 4kg.

No Problem Why anyone would want to take 3 full size bags on a cruise is beyond me but depends on how many shoes and handbags the wife wants to take and to be honest anymore than 2 in the cabin would be tight unless in a suite

CF ... I read somewhere very recently that they're not allowing that any more and that you have to send all the items together (must check that out in a couple of weeks;  I rarely use the service so wouldn't have asked, otherwise).

Maybe the persons bringing 3 full size bags aren't going on a cruise or maybe they will be on a very long formal cruise.

I normally fly with British Airways and I don't understand why anyone would want a 23 kg carry on! (The small extra item allowed also has a 23 kg limit so it's possible to bring two 23 kg bags into the cabin when flying BA!)
