Mar.26.2019  Miyakojima, Japan  The scenic tour took us around the beautiful beaches along the sea shore, to the twin pools (eyes of the dragon) and over the two bridges.  Don’t you just love it when the photos speak for themselves. Thanks again Bob Brown for taking our picture.

 Nice shots!🙂

Our tour guide “Morry”, on bus #7, amazed us with some good magic tricks, along the way.  He even showed us how some were done.😎

I was amazed to see that on the shuttle bus into town, that I hopped on after my tour ended, had a tv built into the dash, that the driver was watching a ball game on....highly illegal practice in the US...

Highly illegal in the UK too.    I have been enjoying all your photos and all your stories.  Thank you.  J

Okinawa...the local people and places rather than just tourist sites.  These children were so sweet and gave me a big wave and "konichiwa!"  Love it.

Fancy computerized public restrooms...some voice talks to you from a box on the wall, makes flushing noises and has music!! Our guide said that it was developed because Japanese women didn't want others in the restroom to hear them doing their business!  😉

Pilot’s off.

As they would say on the railroad,

“Highball Naha, Insignia”😁

Actually a great sendoff...the pilot boat turned and gave us a whistle salute, which we returned.

And then a pair of F-18’s did a fly-by.😎

Mar.27.2019  Naha, Okinawa, Japan: Shurijo Castle Park (a world heritage site) Whether guarding massive gates or displayed in gift shops, Twin dragons are ubiquitous in Japan, the open mouth is ready to swallow new experience/treasure while the closed mouth is possessive and holds many secrets.  Okinawa, was once an independent country, hence the Castle architecture reflects both Chinese and Japanese culture.  You can live out of vending machines and If you stand still you or your feet could become subject matter for a photograph. (thanks for posing Cindy  Lopatynski).  As always with the crew and officers aboard Oceania’s Insignia , it’s what’s behind the smiles that counts.
