Go-Bucks..Thanks for the wonderful pics of Bali.  Brings back beautiful memories of our visit there several years ago.

The jewelry box you got is very cool.  Another of your lovely purchases that don't take up too much room.  I'm wondering about what will happen to that foot stool purchased in Hawai:)  Also really liked those brocade-like  flip flops pictured..do you buy them too?

Glad you made it on the ship on time..kuddos to Bob for capturing the moment!

Bob..sorry no trains for you, but liked the ship pics.

See_More...  like your pics too..especially the country club casual at the temple.  When we were at one of the temples there it was raining and all the colorful dyes..reds, blues, greens were running down our legs off the required sarongs!  Tie-dyed more than a few tourist clothes!

kids.....you think that Bali traffic was bad....wait until you see cities of India or of Vietnam!!!

I once took a picture of 2 women and a child on a motorbike.  It wasn't until i looked at it later on a larger screen that i realized that there were 6...what i couldn't see were 2 very small children and a baby in a chest sling.

also saw a guy with what we would call a dorm fridge on his back or of 2 guys--one with a very long stick across his shoulders with about 30 LIVE chickens tied by their feet headed to market...amazing what they can carry on a motorbike.

I'm sure worse traffic is to come....I was just answering the question about Bali's traffic with the pics I took.

So, there is a plan A and a plan B for the footstool. It folds up...if I have room in the suitcase then I'll take it home,  but if not then I'll leave it here. It's been helpful to also store my crafts and travel bag inside of it.

Yes, I  bought those flip flops at a batik store in Bali for $5. They had many unusual colors and patterned flip flops there plus lovely clothes. There's a blouse that I didn't get but wish I had...oh well, still lots of shopping opportunities coming.  😉

classiccruiser777- we did take a taxi in India, and our driver asked us if we knew what the most important thing every driver should have.

I responded 'well, it appears that brakes would be handy' but he said 'no no.....a horn.'   We all laughed because.....truth!

Again, congratulations to the World Cruisers. Did you know that prior to this, the longest cruise taken by most World Cruisers was 30 days. Proportionately, to go from 30 to 180 could feel like this: Adelaide, Australia Jan. 2019.

We spent a month touring India and hired a car and driver. Initially it was terrifying and after a while our driver explained that how you honk your horn has meaning to other drivers. It’s some kind of code. You may have noticed that trucks have “horn please” painted on their tails. That’s so the truck driver knows where you are and what you’re about to do.

It got to a point where on longer stretches I was able to fall asleep in the car.

That said, India has the highest traffic fatality rate in the world..

The traffic in India is not too bad in the places the Insignia wtll be stopping

Walmart in Hilo, Hawaii.

I have 2 of the same type (a little smaller, though) at home that I also got at Wallyworld. They have nice soft velour on the outside and are pretty sturdy.

This is the one Connie bought at the same Walmart...took this pic with it open and folded up. She uses a towel on it for padding.

Each of these cost about $20.

Enjoying our second day at sea...

This morning we filled out a Phillipines health questioneer, and marched thru the Insignia Lounge, where a five person Filipino crew scanned our temperatures, and issued us a "visa" for our three ports of call, there.   It only took an hour to clear the entire ship.  The crew of five boarded in Bali, and then enjoyed the ship for the two night voyage...rough duty, eh?😉

We are not showing up on the Marine Traffic site, but we are currently passing thru the Celebes Sea, about 70 miles east of Semporna.

We are meeting a constant stream of freighter's and tanker's.   It is almost like driving on an interstate highway along this busy waterway...😎

So glad you guys made it through Australia’s North with absolutely beautiful weather - behind Cyclone Oma and we’ll ahead of the current Cyclone Trevor. Fair winds and following seas to all aboard the Insignia. 🙏🏻
