You all have been great help. I guess my final cabin questions is this - after checking I pretty much have the choice of floors between 6th to 14th floor - aft, mid and forward. What would be the BEST to get? I am getting the feeling 8th floor seems to be most popular/best?

The concept of "best" means different things to different people.  I don't think you will find universal agreement on what is "best".

It depends a lot on what you’re interested in. I have little kids,  I like to be close to the foreword elevators because it’s near the kids club, the gym, the spa, the theater . Also I like to be on deck six because it’s close to the promenade Central Park and deck four and the same deck as the Boardwalk. I hear that deck 14 can be a nightmare with all the moving of the chairs and cleaning above on the pool deck.  A lot of people find the higher decks more desirable because the view seems to be better from up above. Twice I’ve been way aft and it was a very long walk every time we left the cabin and I work out a lot, it was a drag. Hope this helps.

For some reason I always seem to pick deck 7 on the oasis class , and really like it.  One thing that matters a lot to me is being kind of near the stairs...  so, I like a room like 7570

Deck 7 can be a pain since there is no walkway between the midship elevator bank.  Spent two weeks this fall and never got stuck, but Laura did once.

I did see a couple talk about walking all the way forward to get to the other side.  I told them they could have just taken the stairs and come back up. 😂

Harder to get out of than get into

I had difficulty getting in and out of the tub.  I am 4'11" tall.   I figured out that if I sit on the tub rim, and swing my legs around to either get in or out....it worked the best....but when you are getting out, you can still slip....it almost made me want the smaller tube like shower.  But the extra room in the cabin was nice.....and since we did it on Majesty, when the only way to have a balcony is to get a JS....we did overall enjoy the cabin.

Never leaving. 😏

I wouldn’t have either but I have little kids (imagine that walk 10 times a day with excited kids) they weren’t nearly as impressed as myself and my parents! My dad slept on the balcony all 7 nights!

We are past kid stage in life.  😉

I may pack a sleeping bag for out there
