Cruiser1818 Posted January 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2019 This is our first cruise and we have a question about taking drinks from one of the bars into our cabin. We will ask for the fridge to be emptied on our upcoming cruise, but what are the rules about the number of drinks you can get at the bar and take back to your cabin? Can you request two drinks each, or is it strictly enforced that you can only take one per person? I read in one topic about people getting their fridge emptied so they could put their own beer in there to keep cold. Anyway, just wondering what the limitations are. Thanks everyone. 39august Posted January 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2019 Do you have a drink package? If so, usually only one drink at a time is allowed. No package, no limit. I usually pick up at least two glasses of wine during the day and store in the fridge for later as I wind down for the night on my balcony. Are you aware that you are allowed two bottles of wine per cabin to bring on board?
Rare Jim_Iain Posted January 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2019 My experience is you can only get one drink (ask for a double) per card at a time on a drink package. I often take both cards and get two if we want more. Very easy to stockpile if you so desire.
ipeeinthepool Posted January 23, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2019 I go up to the bar and get my wife more wine whenever she tells me too. I usually go to the bar in the OVC 1
Cruiser1818 Posted January 23, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted January 23, 2019 Yes, we both have the Classic Beverage Package. That's exactly why I was wondering, just to have a couple of drinks later at night in the cabin without having to run out to refill. That's a great idea to store a few drinks away during the day. Thank you!

We typically swing by the bar on the way to the stateroom to dress for dinner. If you are a regular in a particular bar--they will often pour you a double. One of us goes by with both sea pass cards. Also picks up a bottle of water per card.
Diamond lover Posted January 25, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 25, 2019 When I was on The Reflection in September, the barkeeper would let me have two Pinot Grigios at once with my UBP. Hope it is the same on The Solstice next month!
crazee4cruzin Posted January 25, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 25, 2019 My husband or I will take both cards to two different bars. Then we both have 2 drinks for the cabin.
