asnp Posted February 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2019 Just wondering if anyone knows why the coral princess made an unscheduled stop in puerto Vallarta yesterday. Saw her pull into the bay about 4 pm and left again at about 5pm. Supposed to be enroute to Cabos.

asnp Posted February 12, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted February 12, 2019 Yep figured that might possibly be the case. Lot of People at the beach saw the ship coming in very late and not from the direction they usually come from - then it left pretty quick so curious minds wanted to know and thought maybe someone on the ship might post. Hope all was ok
Rare trbarton Posted February 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2019 I’ve tried to find a thread for this cruise looking for more information but couldn’t locate any thread. Perhaps someone will be lucky. Tom🤔
Husky61 Posted February 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2019 I don't know why anyone would care why the ship made an unscheduled stop.
Grburkart Posted February 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2019 Personally, I enjoy conversation and discussions and I like talking about things like why the ship made an unscheduled stop. It intrigues me. If it was a medical situation, I hope the person is ok and if it was a medical situation I’d be grateful to Princess for making the stop. Who cares? I do. I’m good at parties too! Very simply, some people just have more intellectual curiosity than others and find unusual situations interesting. I don’t believe it’s anything to be critical about one way or the other. 5
padres fan Posted February 13, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 13, 2019 My sister is currently on the Coral and told me it was due to an emergency medical evacuation. 1

tert333 Posted February 13, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2019 The Coral Princess just came out of Drydock. I was wondering if there were any engine problems. The last time it came out of a drydock a few years ago, it had a mechanical problem. As I am sailing on it in a few weeks, was interested in the reason.... don731 Posted February 19, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2019 We were on that cruise. It was a medical evac. Observed another one in Cabo.

Jumbotron screen at the pool broke partway through the cruise.
MaineCruiser243 Posted February 19, 2019 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2019 Something like that happened to us in 2015. We were on our way from Roatan to Belize and we stopped off the coast of Mexico. They brought up a pilot boat from one of the nearby ports (Cozumel?) and took someone off in a stretcher. I believe they had had a heart attack.
farmboy11 Posted February 20, 2019 #14 Share Posted February 20, 2019 I was on the cruise. Very sorry for whomever had to be evacuated, but the trip in and out of Banderas Bay was very scenic.
