Casino: Easy way to figure out your Tier points?

 for tier points:

$1 coin-in for slot = 1 tier point

$2 coin-in for vp = 1 tier point

$8 wagered on any table game = 1 tier point

but what appears on the display on the slot machine is your Redeemable points for free slot play.

$5 coin-in for slots = $1 redeemable

$10 coin-in for video poker = $1 redeemable

How do you figure out your tier points???

(i would be really pissed if i left the ship and only 100 points from the next tier level!)

If you only play slots then multiply the points you have earned at the end of a cruise by 5 to get your total tier points for that cruise, or if you only play VP then multiply by 10. If you play a mix of both or play table games then you won't be able to figure it out. You would need to know what you earned from prior cruises within the current earning period to know your total tier points. To find out definitively what your current tier points are just call the Blue Chip Club. Wait at least a week though from your most recent cruise in order to make sure your most recent points have been transferred over from the ship.

i played a mixed of vp/slots/tables games.

i asking the casino host mid-cruise for a printout of my play.

the print doesnt help.

for table games, it gives me how many hrs ive played and what my avg bet was.

12hrs x $26 avg bet

how to figure out points from that???

i got 3000 redeemable points. thats from slots/vp.

so i got about 15000 tier points.

hopefully i got 10k tier points from my table play for a total of 25k for Amethyst tier level.

10k tier points from tables = $80k wagered needed

I am new to all this... I know they swipe my card when I play the Roulette wheel, but how in the world do they know how much I bet?

pit boss enters the info into the computer.

unfortunately, if they are busy, they wont re-rate you if you up your bets.

hm.. i wonder whats your rating if they are busy before your 1st bet?

computer automatically rates you at table min???

How in the world do they figure out your average bet?  Someone would need to be monitoring every single hand, counting the number of hands you play, counting how much you bet on each hand, etc.  If you are the only one at the table, you can play a lot more hands in an hour than if the table is full, for example, and most people I know change their bet from hand to hand because they use some form of progressive betting and/or randomly decide to bet more or less depending on how they're doing.  I really can't see how they get an accurate average.

for the cards games (ie: ultimate texas holdem), there are sensors when you place your bet.

the dealer also  has a sensor for his cards.

when both sensors are active, you get credit for a hand.

ie: when the dealer deals and you're on a bathroom break, you dont get credit

for craps, there's a sensor on the table. the stick puts the dice on that sensor before giving it to the player for each roll. no idea about roulette since i dont play it.

it's not accurate when you vary your bets.

but the pitboss is supposed to check your betting every so often and adjust from the previous time he entered your bet amount.

i guess it averages out over the long run

Wow, I honestly didn't know the tables were that high tech!   Although I've never seen a pit boss make an adjustment to the bet amount.   And honestly, when the dealer "logs me in" to the table when I get my chips, they usually do it before I place my first bet so I assume are just noting my total amount of chips, not my initial bet amount.  I assume then, that it's really based on the minimum bet for the table?

yes, i assume that the computer gives you credit for the minimum bet if the pitboss doesnt enter your bet amount.

Interesting post.  I usually spend a couple hours a day in the casino, averaging 10 - 20 bucks a hand at black jack.  Been doing this for many past celebrity cruise.  I know this is not amounting to much as far as getting perks from the bets, but does anyone know if I have any free stuff coming my way and I don't know about?

I doubt it.  I usually play the $15 tables, sometimes $25, and with progressive betting can sometimes get up to $100 or so per hand  while on a good streak.   On a recent cruise a friend who gambles a lot more than me commented that I should be able to get money on my card in the casino without paying the 5% fee (she doesn't have to pay it.). She summoned the casino host who went to check for me.  I don't recall the numbers but I was only at about 10% of what I needed to be to get that little perk.  We had a good laugh over that.
