Disembarkation Time Port Everglades

Just preparing in advance.  Is it possible to change your assigned disembarkation time if it is too close to your flight time?  Who would I go to on the ship to address this if needed?  And if we decide to change to walk off, do we need to let them know and get different luggage tags, or do we just keep our luggage the night before?  We have no status to get us any priority time.  Flight out isn't until noon, but I like to have that safety cushion of 2 hour check in at the airport, which means I would like to be off the ship by 8:30am or 9:00am, if possible.  Thanks.

You will receive a questionnaire a couple days before the end of the cruise asking your departure plans.  From that Celebrity will determine your departure time including if you asked for walk off.  If the assigned time does not work for you go to guest services as early as you can to request a change.

If you have a problem with disembarkation time you can simply go to Guest Relations and they will give you a earlier time.

If you tag your baggage and leave it outside your door it will do you no good to get off early as you bags won't be available.    If you choose to walk off and have all your luggage with you it should be no problem.

With a noon flight you should be fine having Celebrity off load your luggage for you.  As others have said if the time they assign is too late for your comfort zone go to Guest Relations and request an earlier time.  Your noon flight will also qualify you for luggage valet if you are flying from Ft. Lauderdale and your airline participates.  It is $25 PP + baggage fees but is worth it IMO.  Celebrity will print your boarding passes for you and will take the luggage to the airport to be checked in with the airline.  You will not see it until you arrive at your destination airport.

You have allowed plenty of time to do any of the three options

1. You can walk off -- carry all your bags (no help from any crew) but with a noon flight, you probably do not need to consider this option.

2. You can put your bags out the night before, claim them in the terminal, and make your way to the airport.  Since everyone will be off the ship by 9 or 9:30, you can easily get a time slot in the middle of the disembarkation and have plenty of time at the airport.

3. You can consider "Luggage Valet" where for a fee of $25 plus baggage fees you put your luggage out the night before, with special luggage tags.  The cruise line transports it to the airport and checks it in for you and the next time you see it is at your home airport.  With this plan, the cruise line also checks you in for the flight and gives you your boarding pass the evening before disembarkation.  You can go right to security with your carry-on and proceed to the gate.

We disembarked EDGE yesterday.  Cruised with friends that had a 9:00am flight to California.  (Are you crazy?!?)  😂   Guest relations told them to be at EDEN by 6:45am.  They were first in line to walk off about 7:15am.  Breezed thru Customs (facial recognition is amazing) and grabbed a cab to FLL.  Boarded their flight at 8:10am.  Certainly wouldn’t recommend this, but can be done.
