teacherman Posted March 25, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Due to the Oasis cancellation, we are now flying to Orlando and renting cars. We plan to drive Saturday night from MCO to Fort Pierce and then Sunday morning on to MIA to return the cars and shuttle to the Allure. Upon return, we will have to shuttle/taxi from ship to MIA, and rent cars for return to MCO for our 4:00 pm flight. Thinking of taking the Turnpike both directions. Is anyone aware of problems with the Turnpike as far as on-going construction? We thought it would be the "easiest" drive.

Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted March 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2019 I just did this drive a couple of weekends ago again and the only place we had road work was on 95 which we took home for a change. We were sorry we didn't stay on the Turnpike which is our normal drive.
BNBR Posted March 25, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2019 No construction issues. It's generally a good idea to put your destination in to Google Maps for directions before leaving. This way any major accidents or unexpected delays can be easily avoided. We use it all the time on longer car drives even though we know the way. Keeps you updated and helps avoid major delays. Waze is part of Google Maps, but using it on your smart phone makes it very current.
