cruisinforabruising Posted March 25, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2019 I have been on tons of cruises with RC out of Florida but on Saturday my family and I will be leaving out of NJ on the Anthem. Not sure what exactly to pack clothing wise. At what point in the cruise will I hit the warmer weather to bring out the shorts etc and at what point during the return is it going to be too cold to wear them? It's going to be 70 on embarkation day and 59 on debarkation day. It seems like a lot of the ships activities for the family can be done indoors. Do people just usually walk around in shorts and t shirts like a normal Caribbean cruise (beginning and end) or are we talking pants etc.? Thanks in advance
Clarea Posted March 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2019 The first and last days are usually cool. Shorts are common in the enclosed areas of the ship.
Rare BirdTravels Posted March 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Pack some light covers so you can enjoy sail away on deck. Kids will be oblivious to the temps.

Agree with Bob! The first and last days are normally very chilly!

BroadwayGirl Posted March 25, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2019 We leave on Grandeur this week. I packed a pair of jeans, a pair of leggings, some capris and some shorts. And I thru in a hoodie. Figured I’m covered as we go thru the multiple changes of temperatures.
njkruzer Posted March 26, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 26, 2019 Layers work best. Lots to do in doors. Also indoor pools, which can be enjoyed even the first day.
perlotk Posted March 31, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Was going to ask this exact question. We're on the cruise from NJ this Saturday, too - see you there! 😀
