Oneluckywoman Posted April 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2019 Hello friends, Can anyone recommend an inexpensive and convenient option from the anchorage airport to seward, transport for 4 adults? Thanks!
AKStafford Posted April 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2019 My personal choice is a one-way car rental with Hertz. Otherwise your options are motorcoach (either through the cruiseline or something like this: https://alaskacruisetransfer.com/ ) or if your cruiseline offers a chartered rail service. kjmcneil89 Posted April 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2019 The motorcoach will most likely be the cheapest. https://www.alaskacoach.com/routes/seward-express.html
Northern Aurora Posted April 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2019 Since the OP wants an inexpensive transfer, the motorcoach option is most likely the cheapest. But the rental car would be the most convenient.
Glaciers Posted April 10, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2019 We've used Seward Bus Line. Gets into Anchorage at noon. 50 bucks each. https://sewardbuslines.net/summer.html
quack2 Posted April 10, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2019 Cheapest is not necessarily the best. If you can swing it, take the train. Gorgeous.
Ashland Posted April 11, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2019 Absolutely I second the https://alaskacruisetransfer.com/ We've used them from Seward - ANC.
Adian80 Posted April 11, 2019 #8 Share Posted April 11, 2019 https://www.akcruiseshuttle.com/seward is who we are using. We decided to do the half day tour that makes several stops and drops you right at most hotels/RV rental places in addition to the airport. They have a 15% off coupon right now that would make the half day tour $68 and the Direct transfer $47.60 per adult plus taxes.

If you take the morning train does NCL transfer your bags from the ship to the train or do you have to check your luggage with the train company yourself? Thanks I've only taken the train from Anchorage to Seward. On that route, you drop your luggage in Anchorage and the next time you see it is on the ship. I don't think the luggage even travels on the train; rather, I think it is trucked to Seward separately.
