Summit Cruise Review 4/6

We just returned from our cruise on the refurbished summit! What a  great job they did with this ship! I was so worried after reading all the recent bad reviews on the boards here. Have no worries! This is a beautiful ship with great staff! We had an oceanview cabin on deck three that was just great. The light colors, plenty of drawers, closet space, for everything, and i have lots of shoes and clothes! The bathroom is light and airy, there is room in the shower for your bottles and scrubby. The shelves are gone, but I hang my cosmetics bag anyway so there was no problem, bring something that hangs or has a hook for the door.There are shelves under the sink also. The shower has a lot of space. Our room attendant Bailey was awesome!

The dining room staff was wonderful, Santos and gang were very attentive,the food was great, love the lighter colors in the dining room. The menu was the same as last year.

The entertainment was good, comedy, show dancers, Paul McCartney Band, Movies outside, Ballet, you definitely have enough to keep you busy!

The ports were absolutely beautiful and we have no complaints! Even won money in the casino! Enjoy this ship its beautiful!

We loved it! The bedding was quite comfortable, lots of room! The window was larger than we thought. Let me see if I can share a few pics with you!

We have an OV deck3 for our upcoming Summit cruise. What cabin number did you have? TIA.

I like your shower much better than ours (AQ).  The wire basket in yours was filled with the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in ours, and we had no other shelf/storage in the shower.

Thanks for posting your photos. Your cabin looks lovely and spacious, and I like the drawers.  We haven’t sailed in an OV cabin, but I’ve been considering one for an itinerary in a cold climate. Did you have any noise or vibration issues?

Thanks for taking us along on your cruise. The stateroom furniture looks like cheap dorm room furniture. Looking forward to our future Summit cruises.

We did hear some vibrations at times but not enough to interfere with or wake us up during the nite.

We will be in 3125 in a few weeks which is one of the OV which they added.  I am curious about the window. From your pictures the room looks a lot smaller than the OV we had on the Edge.  

 

To save money and not on a cruise in Europe we find an OV quite acceptable.

Could two of you fit on that sair/chofa?

 

I DO like the glass fronted shelves - how often do you forget where you put what and are constantly opening doors/drawers to find things.

No only one person could futon the sofa/chair. You could see in the glass front shelves so it was fine.We got use to the drawers pretty quickly. There were shelves above the dressing table also. We had plenty of spaces for things. And believe me I pack a lot of things!

Does anyone know if the outside cabins on deck 2 the same layout?  Looks very nice for an outside cabin, large room, bath, and especially the "porthole".
