ROFLMAO.  Never had a steward named Stewart.  Had a "con see air" named Stu one time.

Aren't they all Stewart?

Like George on Pullman sleepers?

Maybe I've been doing it wrong all these years?

Years ago the Maitre D' took a liking to us.  He stopped at our table every night and went over the menu with us.  He brought us something special nightly.  Still remember the huge deep fried shrimp that were to die for.   He sat down with us and we offered him some wine every night - he would just have a 1/4 of a glass.   At the Chef's table, he made a fuss over us.   Our waiter told us that every one around was asking who we were because he spent so much time with us.     That was rather embarrassing.   We did offer him a tip the last night but he would not take it.

Under them are:  Head Waiters (in MDR, Crown Grill, Sabatini's, etc), Supervisors, Waiters, and Jr. Waiters.

Discreetly tipping with a hand$hake the Head Waiter early is a very smart thing to do.  :classic_wink:
