gordylad Posted May 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2019 We are sailing this year and fancy a sailing next year that is available. Would you book now or wait until we sail in September? Thanks
Rare cruisestitch Posted May 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2019 You get extra onboard credit if you wait and book while you are on your cruise. But watch availability of cabins. Maybe if you’re intended cruise begins to sell out, you will need to jump on it.
jelayne Posted May 8, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2019 If you are in the US you can book now if you feel the price is good. Then once on the ship if the price hasn’t increased you can cancel your booking and rebook on tge ship for the extra OBC.
bigbenboys Posted May 8, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2019 (edited) What I do at times is book the cabin I want now. Then I book the same cruise while on board. Keep the reservation that benefits us the most and get the cabin I wanted all along. I call or email my TA with what I want to do. Thanks If you book on board and I am not saying you should do so, consider transferring to a TA when you come back, you will likely get more perks. For example if the cruiselne gives you two perks my agency will give me the other two and depending on cabin sometimes more OBC.
