Sunbedsue Posted May 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2019 Hi we are booked on Arcadia sailing 16 Sept for Canada. It is 18 weeks before we sail, the balance isn’t due for another 4 weeks yet all the excursions are available on cruise personaliser to book. Is this normal or are they exceptionally early and what is the likelihood of further excursions becoming available nearer the time.
zoe sproodle Posted May 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2019 I don't know what the normal time for excursions to go on sale is but I did notice on our CP that they're on sale for our cruise in October so yours doesn't appear exceptional.
HappyGiraffe Posted May 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2019 They often go on sale early. I'd guess it's unlikely that they'll add completely new extra excursions nearer the time, although they sometimes add extra capacity to popular tours (e.g. if a morning excursion looks like selling out they might repeat it in the afternoon). If in doubt, double check the terms and conditions but you can usually cancel excursions up to a few days before you sail and still get a full refund! happy v Posted May 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) Ours were released very early this year. In fact all booked and paid for and only received the booklet yesterday. There are a couple of new ones and a lot of extras for existing trips (we are going to the fjords). If there are any you really want to do I would book early. It's very easy to change your mind later. Edited May 12, 2019 by happy v

Apologies, not come across that before but maybe it's more common than I thought!
Slugsta Posted May 16, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2019 We are on this cruise too. I hadn't even thought to look at the excursion yet - thanks for the 'heads up' OP (have you joined the rollcall yet?)! 🙂
Sunbedsue Posted May 16, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted May 16, 2019 Hi Slugsta Have joined roll call. Only looked at excursions early as our last cruise to the Northern Lights in February had all the excursions available from October. 4 months to go now
bee-ess Posted May 16, 2019 #8 Share Posted May 16, 2019 We go on Caribbean TA in October and would quite like to see ours but have been told by P&O that they are not avail until.12 weeks before departure

Or if they are getting ready for Iona next year and trying out new trips to see how popular they are.
Rare P&O SUE Posted May 16, 2019 #10 Share Posted May 16, 2019 I’ve often had excursions on the CP 6 months before, I think it depends on the itinerary. We had Olly Smith on once and a tour was added later that involved him.
Mysticalmother Posted May 17, 2019 #11 Share Posted May 17, 2019 Excursions for my cruise in November are already available... I guess where the ports are visited regularly its a case of “same old” so they can put them up early..
