Hello, I am sure this has been asked before, so I apologise if it has.  We are about to book a med  cruise for our 40th wedding anniversary, and we have been offered a Sky Suite Would this category of suite be  good choice for celebration? What perks, advantages and disadvantages can we expect.  Thanks all xx

Sky suites are great.  You get to eat in Luminae, a private restaurant for suite guests only.  You also get access to Michael’s club, a private lounge that serves free drinks.   The only downside to a suite (other than the higher cost) is that most of them are on deck 12 under public areas, such as the pool deck and buffet.  As such, some people report noise from above.

Sky Suites are fantastic. Glad you booked it, you should love it. The suite itself will have nice extra storage and in general just more room to move around which comes in handy when you're getting ready in the morning or before dinner.

As Cruiserchuck mentioned you'll have access to Luminae which is the suite guest only restaurant. It is open daily for breakfast and dinner and on sea days it will be open for lunch. You'll have a butler in a sky suite as well who is there to take care of you. So if you need anything from something as simple as shoes shined or a button repaired or to something a bit more involved such as a special dinner in your suite they can arrange it. We were on the Reflection in November in a Sky Suite. Our butler was Hector who was amazing! He was from India and we asked him if he could put together an Indian dinner in our room one night. It was absolutely phenomenal and he could not have been more excited to do it.

You'll have access to Michael's Club which as was said above is a private lounge. Inside Michael's club you'll meet the suite manager and club manager. Use them at your disposal along with your butler if you ever have any issues. This could be issues with booking a shore excursion or even a discrepancy with your onboard ship account, etc. They can assist in resolving anything or helping you book anything. It definitely beats waiting in line at guest relations!

As far as negatives go...not really much. As cruise chuck mentioned most sky suits are under the public areas. Personally we haven't had issues with noise. Also the Reflection has more sky suites than any other ship and sometimes Luminae can get a little busy at peak times (7pm to 8pm). Overall Reflection is our favorite ship in the fleet though.

Have a wonderful cruise and 40th anniversary!

Love celebrity suite perks , micheals is a elegant suite club with free drinks all day. Food and service in luminae are really nice better than many specialty restaurants. Sky suites are not huge but nice. Sounds like perfect way to celebrity your anniversary.

Do you get full unlimited access to Persian Gardens in a Sky Suite does anyone know?

Nope- If you are a diamond member you get a free shore day-  But IMO that isn't a big deal- if you want to spend time in the Persian garden, pay for it-  The sky suite, Michael's club, suite amenities are so worth it-  Blu doesn't compare to luminae.  IMO they have poorly located cabins, under the pool and gym, give you a restaurant perk with AQ so it is really clever marketing-  The cabin perks IMO aren't worth it.  If you cannot do a sky suite- book a balcony cabin, pay for a couple of days in the Persian garden and dine a few days in spec restaurants- you will get a better located cabin and perhaps pay less.

Enjoy.
